Note: Both of these would be for Gamecube. Also, I want the opinions or people who have played both.

I have played both, and splinter cell is a better game, but Metroid Prime is a longer game. For myself at least, Metroid Prime is one of those games where I ended up scratching my head and saying "aw shit, you Nintendo guys win, I'll buy a damn strat guide" whereas Splinter Cell has puzzles which you can solve by using logic.

I wish I could buy both... parents won't let me.

Well, that's the thing. Just think about how cool it'll be when you can move out and get yo' game on. I mean, game's will be kicking when you are 18.

yeah... problem is, life is hard enough as it is. I sorta want to be older, but I know life will be a lot harder...

More hardships=more rewards. Really tho. I loved being a teenager, rolling down the street on 20s with my homeboys, capping fools for looking at us the wrong way.

J/K of course. More like playing magic and Chess for weeks on end.

But being an adult, although I have to worry about paying the bills, as soon as those bills are paid the rest goes to my PC and games! :D

Damn, that sounds like me! actually, I play Magic with my friends just for fun (I don't actually have a deck made, they all got mixed together when I dropped the box,) and I only play chess with my brother. I usually lose anyways. I read a lot.

Chess is a great game for sharpening the wits. Play with as many people as possible, and try to play as fast as possible. I actually used to be in a chess club, but I'm not anymore. why? First rule:never talk about the chess club. :D

buy Splinter Cell at Electronic's Boutique. Beat it within fourteen days, and return it for your money back. The next day, go there and get Metroid Prime. :D

It would be a good idea if I had my Gamecube in the same country as where I buy my games. Different systems...

They only want one "violent" game. And I had to work hard to get that far...

They are two differnt types of games, one is a FPS shoot-em-up, the other is a third person stealth shooter. They are both good though (IMO). Its really a matter of personal opinion.

i had to do the same choice earlier...
i hadn't played slpinter cell but i had played metroid a bit... they were the same price... so a coin toss chose for me... and splinter cell won... i don't regret it... its a good game

I own both for Gamecube and I would say splintercell is slightly better. The only problem is its shorter than metroid prime... I would go with splinter cell because its pure fun :)

Yeah, splinter cell is your typical Tom Clancy game. Damn good story, damn good gameplay, kinda on the short side, but very fun. One thing to note is that on many levels you have several different options on how to get through different situations. The game certainly isn't as short as MGS2 though.
