Unreal II kinda sucks.. in fact, it really sucked. Nice graphics.. and that's it.

Well actually i downloaded the demo coz i never played the full game. Dont want to waste my money on 10 hours of gameplay.

it's graphically cool, and doom-esque. yeah, admittedly, if doom 3 is like this, it'll be a real big dissappointment. but one thing i look for deeply is the "weapon fun-factor". weapons don't need to be original, but need to be fun to use, and unreal 2 has it. play it expecting the "shooting range" environment, and you won't feel so negative.

seriously, that wasn't too cool, makin even a penny on somethin you don't own in the first place. remember when you buy software, you buy the license, not the software itself.

I just got this off my PC Gamer CD, and its really not that bad. People put this game down because their expectations were too high. Everybody thought it would kick ass just because the first one did. I never played the first one, so my opinion hasn't been swayed by the fact that its not as good as the first one. Sure, its not the best game there is, but it does not suck, Its average. The voice acting is pretty good, but the script is a little B-Rated. The graphics are top notch, the particles, textures, grass, models, lighting, all great. And its pretty fun to play, even though its pretty much just run-and-gun.


Bottom Line:

This game is good, but not great. its an enjoyable experiance, even if it is flawed.

Unreal II does indeed have some shortcomings, and it's not the 2003-equivalent of the original, but it isn't a bad game at all. And, since the basic multiplayer code is present, (just not quite accessible), I suspect that it won't be very much longer before somebody "mods" that aspect into the game. I mean, the editor is included, the community has the map-making knowledge... ...it's just a matter of time, I think. If Legend wanted to quell some of the bitching, they would expose the multiplayer in a patch.

I might pick up a 'Gamer' in town, tomorrow. It's been awhile since I've read one, and I'm curious as to what the demo includes.

Abt Piracy:

We have no other way to buy software hence, we HAVE TO BUY PIRATED SOFTWARE.. coz ur fucking publishers wont publish them here.. u buy a license when the software is available freely.. pirated software isnt good.. u cant play online.. u cant do shit with it.. u cant get patches.. but the thing is that i have to play games.. and since there is no other way to get them i buy them pirated.. i still dont use download servers etc.. the guy who pirates software for us is doing the right thing coz ur lazy ass publishers wont come here.. if they do.. i will always buy licensed software just for the pretty boxes and tech support.. and lastly, piracy in USA is wrong.. piracy in europe is wrong but here if they pirate software.. they arent loosing out on any sales or revenues oks.. for them they just sold a legal 1 copy.. which was then pirated.. in places where their dicks cant reach.. simple as that.. hope this clarifies any issues u may be having abt this topic..

back to unreal 2:

game was ok the sad thing is that it was buggy and AI wasnt at par even with ut2003.. and eventhough it was the same engine uts engine is highly optimized.. it ran med details w/ a gf2 mx 400 at 35-40 fps.. whereas unreal 2 engine sucks donkey balls.. it gives 45-60 fps on my raddy.. damn!.. why o why.. i cant seem to understand still..
