I can't figure out what the -console perimeter is. Can someone help me out?

Can you explain the problem some more? I played that game a while ago (what two, two and a half years now?) so my memory isn't fresh. It'd help if you could offer a bit more explanation on what's going on.

make a link to the game executable (probably Vampire.exe) and in the options of that link, the path of the .exe (so the destination for the link) should say: "d:\games\vampire\vampire.exe -console"

that's how you do it, it's the same way a lot of other games work, Half Life for instance
