Take a look around. Nobody's here. This forum sees less visitors than Terry Schiavo's vagina, and yet you Pacific-Rim Asian fucks insist on ruining our good fun. So let's make a deal. You leave us to our little corner of the internet, and we'll still let you do our dry cleaning. Sound good?

That seems to be a rather hostile attempt at a peace treaty. I propose a more diplomatic solution, emphasizing our similarities as human beings on this wonderful planet rather than the divisive labels appended to various ethnic groups.

I briefly considered that, but then remember what website this is.

How'd they hack the site, exactly?

King Speedy
June 16th, 2008, 12:15 PM
I heard HTTP client attacks.

How long were we down for? I check last night around midnight to see the forums gone, and Actiontrip itself running very slowly.

Lehesu

Can't keep a good forum down. Which doesn't explain why we still exist.

Doing something like that is really nothing to be proud of. Any ideas who is responsible?

IcedEarth

Speedy already told us. It's those slanty-eyed bastards that rim the Pacific.

Digital Limit
June 16th, 2008, 03:02 PM
Also, why don't we have a CAPTCHA used within our forum registration?

That'd solve our bot problem.

IcedEarth
June 16th, 2008, 03:13 PM
I don't understand RapidShare's new CAPTCHA. Type all the characters attached to cats. Only allows for 4 characters, yet all fucking 6 or 7 characters have a cat sitting on them. WTF?

iha‏teyou
June 16th, 2008, 03:20 PM
Haha rapidshare is retarded, its fuckin asking you to look at cats and dogs on complete shit writing.

What asian fucks though? Are they a group or something?

King Speedy
June 16th, 2008, 03:24 PM
No idea, I'm assuming from what I was told that the IPs associated with the attack are from China.

iha‏teyou

Strange, china monitors just about everything. If this way my site somone would be getting their tubes clogged right now

Digital Limit

Heh, you guys haven't heard about Rapidshare's intentionally shitty CAPTCHA?

They do it to encourage users to buy their membership which doesn't use 'em.

Dark_Swordmaster
June 16th, 2008, 06:45 PM
They mean the sitting cats.

That was epic wordsmithing.

Shit is impossible, most of the "animals" look so close to cats.

Don't Chinese have better things to do other than ruining their reputation? This makes me look bad, you know.

I even support teh gookers by buying sweet and sour chicken bawls at the Prancing Dragon, or whatever the fuck its called. Something with a fucking dragon. Coincidentally, I haven't seen a single fucking cat in this town. Think about that one for a second...

You're in China now?

All the Chinese places here have either the word dragon or (compass direction) garden in them. I think there might even be one called Dragon Southeast Garden.

Dark_Swordmaster

You're typing the letters and numbers with the SITTING cats.

Still really fucking hard to see.

IcedEarth
June 17th, 2008, 06:49 PM
It doesn't tell you SITTING cats. It just says the letters attached to cats. Period.

Yian
June 17th, 2008, 07:27 PM
I have been using the premium service of Rapidshare forever, so I didn't even know this cats business.

Dark_Swordmaster
June 17th, 2008, 11:07 PM
I know it doesn't say "sitting", but it used to. They went a week where it said, "this cat: *picture of sitting cat*"

Now it doesn't. Which is probably a fuck up, but regardless, it's the sitting cats you're looking for.

I guess I should have explained a bit more. There's two chinese takeaway places in this town, but not a single american one. Its kinda weird.

Maybe it was you! Maybe you're one of them Pacific Rim jobbers?!

You could add some HTTP authentication to the admin.php file. That might help prevent any BS in the future. It's what I had to do to any of the PHP based websites/forums I ran to prevent hacking.

It's easy to do. I learned from this guy how to do it: http://ravenphpscripts.com
