This is the toughest question ever but here goes..

From the past 5 years or so top ten list goes like this (in no particular order):

1) Nolf 1 and 2 (too good.. missions are well laid out and storyline is one of the best i have seen)

2) Mafia (anyone thinking coz GodFather is one of my favorite movies and scarface too)

3) Longest Journey (Something that no game has ever offered since i played this one)

4) Grim Fandango (humor, storyline, everything is awesome)

5) Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos (first strategy game to actually have a very engaging storyline and gameplay too)

6) Neverwinter Nights (my first rpg and the first one to actually offer great playable time with nice missions and quite a character development system which was simplistic too)

7) Freedom Force (this game did something that no one else ever did right in a game.. create a comic world w/ engaging storyline..)

8) Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (I am playing it currently the 4th time through.. from mission design to storyline and capturing war elements this game has done it all and nicely.. only grudge i have with this game is the ending.. too short and too abrupt)

9) Clive Barkers Undying (nothing has EVER.. and i say EVER managed to scare the shit out of me.. this game simply rocks and there are no words to describe it.. )

10) Legacy of Kain games.. (i put them together coz they are following one storyline that is unique in its own right and the games are very playable unlike what other people have to say abt them.. the last twist in soul reaver 2 can put a whole new dimension to the story and hence i am looking forward for soul reaver 3 or blood omen 3)

11) Metal Gear Solid Series.. (pretty cool storyline etc.. the only thing is that it is not for the masses.. but sure is for me)

These games kicked ass... and still do =P ... I remember all the hours I played Fallout 2 for... anyone beat my record time of 30 mins to beat the game? :D

I'm gonna have to go with sushi with FF3 at the top of the list that I don't actually have.

Now for my list of 10 most nostalgic games/series ever actually it will go beyond 10 but what the fuck.. right?!

1) Contra Series.. (this game owned them all and still does.. u cant get a better side scroller than this EVER!)

2) Sonic Series.. (if they ever make those side scrollers again.. ill buy the hardware/software/console whichever they have and get it pronto.. i hate the 3d versions though)

3) Terminal Velocity and Descent 1 and 2.. (these were the best arcade sims ever.. 360 degree mayhem with an arcade touch.. the next best thing to them is freelancer.. )

4) Monkey Island Series.. (played them 1 and 2 and still love them.. thinking abt playing them again coz i have forgotten the puzzles already)

5) Quake, Doom, Heretic, Wolf 3D, Hexen, and Duke Nukem (these games simply rocked.. my first 1st person shooter was wolf 3d and i played it 3 times over and i was only 10.. i club them together coz they are arcade shooters and everything from level design to nostalgic keep on running feeling just glues u to ur seat)

6) Dune 2, Warcraft 1 and AOE 1.. (clubbed together due to genre and Dune 2 was my first strategy game ever and this is from where i learned playing these games.. second was warcraft 1 and i played it still on my p 3 450.. still as much fun as warcraft 3.. didnt like warcraft 2 much though.. similarly AOE 1 was a great game.. )

7) Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting and Mortal Kombat Series.. (again same genre but these were the best fighting games ever.. spent millions of coins in arcade and got all diskettes on mega drive and even have it on pc.. great games that simply rocked and no clones can ever come together with such a great game.. NOT EVEN THE TEKKEN OR DEAD OR ALIVE series.. i know fancy gfx but these all had great gfx for their times..)

8) Paranoid, Tetris, Pong, Lemmings, H2O.. (gr8 puzzle games.. loved to play them still.. Lemmings was my favorite with loads of levels.. H2O was a lemmings clone but still a decent game.. u cant beat these games.. and Paranoid is something close to pong but better.. i still play it on the net at times.. i wonder if someone will make new levels for this game)

9) Need for Speed Series.. (from nfs 1 to 6 all games rocked.. the feel of new cars and speed is the best ever.. porche unleashed was a little let down but i loved nfs 1 and 2 coz of their amazing videos and arcadish gameplay.. i remember getting a voodoo 1 to play the nfs 2 se version and nfs 3 too.. boy those games were awesome.. and the lamborghinis rocked.. oo yeah!)

10) Fifa.. owned them since 97.. (got every single on of them.. from FIFA 97 to FIFA 2003.. love these games.. play them sometimes.. just for a match.. install.. play a match.. uninstall and shut down computer.. eventhough i would never EVER run a field for a damn ball.. )

so there it was my most nostalgic games ever.. clubbing was done with genres coz of the fact that those games dont take precedence over one another..

1. Dune series. (duh)
2. Warcraft series
3. Doom2 (best.multiplay.ever!)
4. Star Wars Galaxies (he's no good to me dead.)
5. Half Life (the right game at the right time...only thing is, if it wasn't for this game, SHOGO:MAD and SIN would have had a fighting chance to sell some copies.)
6. Dark Forces (the first game that really put me in the star wars universe)
7. Tie Fighter (Not a half bad sim for the time)
8. Xenogears (it's a damn good game combined with a damn good plot)
9. Final Fantasy 7 (first time a game made me cry. the aris theme still makes me a bit sad whenever I hear it, this game also had a great soundtrack. I think sound is very important to games)
10. Crazy Taxi (such an addictive arcade game...I don't care to think of how much money I spent on quarters)

[EDIT: after posting, I listened to the ff7 soundtrack (the anniversary edition or whater) and now it's on the arith theme, and I'm openly crying. ;_; DAMN YOU SEPIROTH!!!!]

1- Warcraft 2 and it's expansion: Dark Portal - the first real games i ever played. Real games as in after playing old platform games like in #2.
2- Duke Nukem - the old platform games, i think it was called Mission Moonbase. There was also that game like Lesuire Suit Larry but it was set in space, i forget what it was called.
3- Diablo 1 (before the hacks otherwise single player/lan)
4- Starcraft: Brood Wars
5- Metal Gear Solid
6- Unreal Tournament
7- Half Life & Counterstrike
8- Quake 1 and it's expansions
9- Liero (like worms, except its in DOS and is real time rather than turn based and very bloody)
10- Command and Conquer

12 - Dune2 - yes! i remember playing this game so much during lunchtime at primary school in the library along with half of the male population of my grade. Those damned sand worm things!
