I don't know... I think they're okay, just I'm not going to have one in my house. Little kids and guns don't mix (there was something in Michigan where a 6-year old shot and accidently killed another 6-year old with his uncle's gun)

Guns dont kill people, I DO!!!!!!!
But seriously I think its just a matter of how well you can handle a firearm.

if you stick it in a fucking droor (spelling way off) and a little kid can easily access it, there's no fuckin way it's safe

I think guns are dangerous.....because it has the capacity of killing a person if it falls into the hands of the wrong people. And I don't mean bad people but for instance a little kid. If I had a gun in my house and my son found it and shot himself or someone else with it I don't think I could forgive myself. NOPE.....no guns in my house.

There's no way in hell I won't have a gun in my house, it may be in my somewhat inbred blood on my dads side of the family, but .357 all the way here baby!

only when you shoot someone, but other than that you'd have to be pretty dumb to hurt yourself, or whatnot

well, it's the fear of other firearms that promotes the purchase of firearms. you all saw bowling for columbine, no? (not askin if u agreed with it, just askin if u saw it)

I have no problems with hand guns, but I would never own them. Assault rifles are another matter entirely though! :D

Look at it this way:

In Canada, we don't have guns, but the robbers do, so we're fucked.

In the US, everyone has guns, but people seem to end up killing themselves, so idiots are filtered out!

That's the truth. On maui, almost noone has guns. But people who import Cocaine, people who belong to crime syndicates, etc. have easy access to them. I've looked, and it's nigh impossible to legally buy a gun. So that means if a crack dealer wants to dig in my house he can. and then when the cops have a standoff with him I'll end up getting capped 'cause they all have guns and I don't have a gun or body armor!

guns are fine. I knew about where my dad's gun was (the loaded handgun) and i never touched it. well i touched it but didnt ever pick it up. As far as killing people if someone comes in my house (as in robber) they die as long as the law is on my side. But I would never use a gun improperly or against the law.

I might own a gun when I get older just for the heck of it but for no other reason.

Guns, by their very nature, are inherently dangerous. Most are intended to be weapons, and certainly all of them can be used as such. Moreover, many are designed to be as effective as possible, that is to say, LETHAL.

Guns shouldn't be touched by anyone who hasn't been properly instructed on how to handle firearms in general, and, in particular, the gun in question. They should never be stored where children, or even some adults, can access them. Guns are a HUGE responsibility, and not everyone is up to it.

Sorry for the lecture, but your aunt Rhenna knows there are some young people on the forums who might need a little guidance.

That being said, I think firearms in the right hands can be a very good thing. I'm sure it comes as no surprise to anyone that I own a few.

my jabbering: OK, as you all know, ima southerner and in Texas no less. im not a "shoot em up" kinda person, but i have always been around guns ALL my life and i was taught by a very edumacated person on the subject. My dad is an instructor of guns i guess you would say, and i was taught (not strictly b/c that encourages curiosity) that you shouldnt mess w/a gun that you havent seen before or even known about. i started shooting an actual rifle when i was 7 and couldnt have been happier since. Im not saying that everyone should start handleing guns when they are young, b/c if that were the case, there would be many accidents. But if you had someone educated to teach you on the subject, then it would be a different story i think.

Right on the nose! I can see that sometimes people are a threat to themselves, and if you ever want to handle or carry a gun there are courses out there to learn how to handle one...i kinda got strayed off, but its all the same.

That's exactly what Americans need today, more deer. Really.

I think I agrree with "guns don't kill people, people kill people". But I also agree with "guns help people kill other people". So if someone wants to kill someone, let 'em try with a knife, or their bear hands - don't give them the guns to do it.

from the wise mouth of Chris Rock:
it's the bullet that causes the problem. if you made each bullet cost six thousand dollars, what's the guy gonna do? Say, "i'm gonna come back in three months, and i'm gonna shoot you, watch your ass."

rofl, chris rock, what a funny guy.
And how true is that shit, imagine that, it would be so funny...imagine what deer would be worth shot dead.

Well, the law in the UK is generally that guns are bad, but we are still allowed to own them, mainly for hunting. I think the law is that as long as you can't put in a magazine of bullets, it's okay.

A gun, in a very secure safe, with only a responsible adult being able to open it, is probably how it should work. But if I owned a gun, say for going clay pigeon shooting (which is great fun), I would rather keep it at the place. They could look after it for me, which is a bonus.

First of all, you left out some parts, and secondly, it's $5,000, althought that doesn't really matter... Anyways, after that he's like "I'm gonna get a job, save up some money, then I'll cap your ass!"

For once I'm going to keep it short:

No guns, no highschool shootings. It's as simple as that.
