Tomorrow when 2Lions makes his "Mornin'" post, we need to spam it telling him about these fucking spam bots and that we need a captcha or some sort of fucking thing.

Well, maybe 2Lions is a bot, too? Then what?

schnitzel_bob

Then we need to find John Connor.

It's worth a shot so this fucking bullshit stops. This shit isn't funny anymore.

Sounds like a plan.

I'll be there.

In case you hadn't noticed, 2lions hasn't made a Mornin' post since like february or something. All he does is collect the ad revenue and then play WoW and make those gay WoW comics on his gay new WoW comic site.

Lol, really? Brutal.

Regardless, if we spam the mornin' post someone might notice us.

So let's just carry through regardless.

I'm down like a clown.

A clown smoldering with generic rage.

The world will know that free men stood against spam, that few stood against many spambots, and before this battle was over, even an admin can bleed.

Spartans! Ready your spam and eat hearty... For tonight, we dine in hell!

Where has 2lions been, anyway?

MrBored
October 6th, 2008, 11:18 AM
I hope he's dead. Stupid WoW addict.

Did we stand against spam? I'm tired.

I should go on strike and stop deleting the spam.

Yea, did swordmasters master plan work?

Dark_Swordmaster
October 7th, 2008, 04:35 PM
We spammed it and Vader said they're going to do something, but apparently Dex is in charge of the forums and he's unavailable. Not sure how long he'll be "unavailable" but whatever.

At least they know now.

Well done, my warriors.

Hey guys,

I must say that I haven’t seen those spam messages but we already have image verification on the registration page.

Today I updated vbulletin to the latest version to see if that’s going to change something…

Are you Dexter Morgan, the serial killer?

LittleChief
October 10th, 2008, 09:14 AM
Here is a vBulliten add-on that alters the captcha verification stage of registration. Supposedly, only a human could successfully register for the site with this installed.

Worth a shot...

Cause they happen when you're asleep and by the time you wake up KingSpeedy and DL have gotten rid of them.

Check to see how many users I've banned in the last month and that might give you an idea.

Cause they happen when you're asleep and by the time you wake up KingSpeedy and DL have gotten rid of them.

Therefore the answer is for Dex to never sleep and constantly monitor the forums for spammers. :)

:)

I'll try to implement the enhanced captcha image verification in the next few days...

Yeah, I imagine that the bots have adapted and evolved, rendering our current captcha useless.

Anyway, thanks a ton for the effort! We've been feeling hung out to dry, as it were. Been banning multiple bots daily, as of late.
