Don't know whether this is good or bad news. But, Blizzard just announced at Blizzcon that the scope and size of the SC 2 campaign is so huge that it requires a separate game for each race, though all three products will have the same ending. I hope that Blizzard is writing a truly grand story that requires so much content and won't be mostly filler missions. I also like that the games will all have the same conclusion instead of making you buy the other games just so you see the "real" ending. I hope that they make the ending so that you aren't scratching your head when the Zerg or Protoss appear with characters or do something that you won't know unless you played the other campaign games.

I'm very much on the fence with this idea and I hope this was more a move by the Activision executives and not Blizzard. I've always held Blizzard in high regard for being one of the last true development houses that hadn't fallen to the wayside in terms of greed and nickeling and dimeing their customers, but WoW may or has changed that about them, which makes me sad. Either way 150 bucks for a full game is not a good thing to talk about right now with the current economic status.

What the hell!? Blizzard is being stupid! I'm just gonna buy the Protoss one and that's it.

Each game better comes with 2 hours of cinematic.

Oh, actually, I got a better idea. How about I don't buy any of them?

According to Blizzard's Rob Pardo each campaign will be very different. It also appears that the Zerg campaign will be featuring RPG elements, whereas the Protoss includes elements of diplomacy. Finally, the Terran campaign will contain a Protoss mini-campaign.

Each game includes an epic storyline, presumably with enough content to warrant a full release. For that reason, the games are going to have more cinematics and story content. In addition, each game is going to offer approximately 26-30 missions.

So basically you're paying for extended expansions of the same game. God, they milk it so brilliantly it gives me a capitalist erection. They're just designing more missions and charging full price for them.

Apparently the Zerg and Protoss Campaigns will offer some different types of game play with the Zerg having RPG Elements and the Protoss being Diplomacy driven.

I was hoping the big announcement was going to be Ghost was back in production with an extension of Infinity Ward taking up the gameplay design and Blizz overseeing the story. Rumor had it many months ago that Infinity Ward's next game after COD4 was going to be something sci-fi based.

I'm mostly interested in UMS maps in MP, so this SP campaign nonsense doesn't really apply to me.
