Need help with another older game!

I am now playing The Longest Journey, made for XP. Since I wrote last I have gotten a new computer, it has 4g memory, great everything, so there is no reason for me not to be able to play this game.

I get to the police station, get the glass eye from the cop. Before I do that I get a soda, I use the eye to open the door to get the info Warren ask for and I print everything out, click on that man's name and see the code.

When I go to the other key pad to type in code the red light comes on but not the green so the thing will go up and get the Vangard file. (I know it goes up and gets the fil, because I did it before on my old computer and got the file, then my computer crashed and I never was able to get it again. Even though I started the game over 2 or 3 times.) The game hasn't been played n my new computer at all,

Hope someone can help me. I did get through the Watchmaker.

I don't know what you're asking but since you're asking about an awesome game I'm willing to help.


Are you stuck and just need a walkthrough? If so, try www.gamefaqs.com.

If your computer's acting funny, I don't understand what it's doing and you'll need to clear it up for me/us.

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear, I will try to clear things up. It's not my computer its the game that is messing up.

April has talked to Warren and found out what he wants her to do for him so he will help her. She has going to the police station to get the files he wants her to get and do away with. She also gets to get information about the Vanguards. When she gets all the information and prints them out. She then has to put a code in this control panel with symbols she found when she looked up this man. When I put in the code it does nothing. I can't go on with the game until I get that file.

I got it once then my old computer crashed and I began over and I couldn't get past that part and I couldn't get the file again. Now I have a new and better computer and I still can't get the file.

Hope you understand now what I'm talking about. Ask me if you don't understand again but I have told you everything I know to tell you about what my problem is.

Sounds like you just can't figure out a puzzle in the game.


Try www.gamefaqs.com. They have walkthroughs for almost every known game and I promise you'll find what you need there if you're just having a problem solving a puzzle.
