2008, I think we should see other people.

I want to hear how 2008 went for you guys and what you plan on getting done in the upcoming year, or what you plan on not doing, whatever. Post your pointless ambitions here and then we can all stumble back later in the year and drink ourselves into a stupor realizing how amazingly we failed to achieve anything we set out for. Yay for new years.

Well, 2008 was a fucking awful and totally rad year for me. The first 4 months I was completely shitfaced, so that was pretty bad. I'm also pretty sure there's a few pictures of me going down a waterslide totally naked floating around town but I guess that's the price you pay for being an idiot.

I finally got some momentum built up with the whole college thing, and will be finishing my first year after the current quarter, doing alot better than my family expected me to, held a job since June or July, bought a nice car and did alot of other really important shit a few years later than most people do, but hell, I did it.


My resolutions:

Eat less fucking cheese, for the love of God, so much cheese.

Beat at least one god damn game a month.

Start jogging three times a week again. I want to be back up to half marathon shape.

I want to improve my skill at wood working and get kind of serious about that. I want to build an extension for my desk.

Pass my math classes with something higher than a C and not cheat like a fucker.

Continue not being a smoker/dipper.

Find non meth addicts to hang out with, and continue avoiding seeing my old friends. I'm up to 8 months of no contact now, awesome!

Add at least 4 really decent projects to my 3D portfolio and continue to work on my typography, sketching and photoshop work.

Go fishing with my dad.

Find a new lady after a solid fucking year of being single.

Go visit my little sister out in Texas.

Write 3 pages a week in my "book".

2008 wasn't a bad year for me, about average I guess. Had its fair share of ups and downs like usual, not much stood out. Did pretty well in school and still have my job (Maybe two soon!), so that's good.


As for 2009, think you and I have some similar goals future. Looking to eat better and exercise more, jogging or riding my bike more would be awesome. Getting better grades in school would be nice, didn't do too shabby last Semester so need to keep that up. Adding a stable female (like dividing by zero) to the equation would rock too, but that remains elusive.

I want to go on holiday to a warm country and lie on a beach next winter. Which would also require me to get rid of all this lard I've been packing away over the last year.

2008 was a relatively good year for me. I graduated out of high school, I'm 3 weeks away from finishing my first year of post-secondary education. And I got a tech support job at my isp. In 2009 I'd like to:
-get back into the gym and get into shape
-figure out what to do with my life
-smoke a little less weed
-find a girlfriend
-actually play the games I buy

Take better care of my CF with running, more food intake, just improve my quality of life
Try to find a job for the spring while I'm having to "sit out" this semester

Rotten year, as usual. And today was the perfect way to end it.

A few hours ago I got home from a dear friend's funeral. On the way back a dog got caught under an incoming car's wheels and got splattered across our windshield. About an hour later we see paramedics on the side of the road pulling bodies out of a flipped car.

Add a dozen more personal issues, shake it up and force me to swallow it. I'm very sorry Nietzsche, but what doesn't kill me, makes me weaker.

Goals for 2009 ? I don't know... how about I don't get fed up with it all ?

2008
Bought a new truck in febuaray. Went to a couple of car shows with my cuda and won 1st or 2nd in my division in all that i went to. Enjoyed the fuck out of myself over all. In Nov. i blew my engine in my truck doing 150 down the highway. Found that ima have to pay roughly $15,000 USD to fix it. Maybe more. So im out of a truck for awhile, got bitched at basically all december by X-gf and boss. Dumped the bitch, and had to take it from the boss. Got SHIT for Xmas gifts but thats not what Xmas is about anyway.

2009
For this year i plan to:
Get back to the gym and get my weight back up to 180 and get in excellent physical shape like i use to be.
Get my truck running. Enjoy it more and maybe not go so fast.
Get a new gf that aint a bitch.
Maybe, just maybe, get a job that requires me to use my degree! And not this shit ass job i have now.
Move out and be able to make it on my own again in this economy...
