Every forum I've frequented has had a small amount of members and an obscene amount of guests browsing it at any given time. Why?
Any thoughts?

I actually think some of the IPs from the lurking 'guests' can be traced back to Google/Yahoo spider bots. Probably doesn't account for all 17...but probably a good amount of them.

Meh, it matters not. Post rate isn't really an important attribute around here. There are some quality members with few posts. Though I guess a several thousand post rate gives one a certain gravitas.
