I have been tickled pink at the recent arguments regarding being for or against war and at the same time for or against America. I find it amusing that this topic comes up, because while I am NOT a liberal, I enjoy the idea of being liberal in others.

Let me explain.

First off, let's get one thing completely crystal clear. America is the best place in the world to live. If you don't agree with me, fine, I don't care. If you live in America and don't agree with me, even better. I love it when Americans say they hate the US, hate the government, hate the leaders and think freedom sucks. Do you know why I love it? Because I can laugh. What they are saying (even though mildly upsetting) is hella funny to me. Because when you say and think these things, you are taking full advantage of the freedoms and liberties that living in America provides to you. Have you any idea how many people live in regimes and governments so oppressive that freedom of thought and speech are totally unknown? Go to a African dictatorship country or one ruled by a military party and say that you hate the government, hate the leaders and hate the country. Go on, I dare you. And do you know why I dare you? Because if you say those things, you get shot, your family gets shot, your wife is raped dozens of times and they confiscate everything you own. That's just because you disagreed with the ruling faction. Here in the U.S. what happens to you? Nothing, and nothing ever will. So, you out there that hate freedom and hate the country, remember who gave you the freedom to think that way. And try to be thankful.

As for war, protest is wholly American, but so is support. So those who support and protest the war are taking full advantage of being American. And God bless them all. I only disagree with PERSONAL attacks, someone that attacks an individual, not the whole group.

Id love to visit America one day Los Angeles New York aghhh:) Admire the urban environment of the western civilization. I dont say that we dont have enough urban environment here in Moscow belive me we do but it would be so great to get away from all the weight of everyday life.
And regarding this thread: Just be true to YOUR opinion YOUR pint of view and dont listen to what the people around are saying or thinking it realy doesnt matter.

That's what I've been trying to tell people for months now. Thanks for summing it so nicely!

I like being in The Netherlands....being able to smoke my precious weed anywhere I want to means a lot to me......I like my freedom. NO don't start screaming that I'm implying that people in other countries don't have freedom but you have admit being able to drink from the age of 16 and being able to smoke whatever you want wherever you want is a good thing! A really good thing.
