Someone stole my Battle.net account! I tried to login to Battle.net and was asked to provide an authenticator code, but I've never linked my account to one. I have no idea how anyone actually got my password. It was long and random and it was a pain in the ass to type up. And I don't have any keyloggers. I bet it's Blizzard's fault.
Oh, and I just got an email!
Account Action: 3 hour suspension and password reset
Reason for Action: In-Game Chat Policy Violation - Advertisement and Spamming
This suspension happened because a character on the account above repeatedly abused World of Warcraft's in-game chat system. This abuse includes advertising third party services/websites and repeatedly spamming in-game chat channels.
My WoW account is expired :/
Seriously, fuck China. Nobody has ever stolen something from me before. This blows.

You could just restart your Diablo 2 player. They are going to reset the ladder soon anyway.

They got my WOW accnt within the first 40 lvls of my very first toon. After that, i stopped playing and never started again. I...actually went back to D2 until life kicked in again.

I got canned aswell!
Greetings,
We are writing to inform you that we have, unfortunately, had to cancel your World of Warcraft account:
Account Name: xxxxxxx
Type of Violation: Use of third-party software
Consequences for Account: Account Cancellation
Just send them a reply saying it's bullshit and they will investigate and revoke.
The funny thing about my cancellation was that I quit playing wow 6 months ago, AND quit paying at the same time. How the fuck can someone be playing my toon when the account wasnt active in the first place?
No response from Blizzard other that they've made my battle.net login active again.

COuld be a scam.
I get a LOT from "Blizzard Admin" and "accounts@blizzard.net" that tell me something like that and then ask me to verify my info at a "getyoshitfakeplace.blizzard.net".

I'm trying to think of how my account got compromised. I don't use my PC for anything besides gaming and all my games are legal, and I barely open the browser. I haven't had any viruses or malware in many years. BUT I did try a few shitty F2P MMOs.
How did you two get your accounts stolen? Did you do something retarded?
Also, Blizzard support is fantastic. I contacted support twice through their form. I have ten emails sitting in my inbox. Four of them are customer satisfaction surveys. One of them is from a real person.

I dont remember. Im sure it was thru a mod thing...i dont remember what they were called but they were legal for ingame stats and what not. I also remember getting an email from 'accounts@bilizzard.net' or whatever their site is. I almost fell for it but i kept re-reading cause it just didnt seem right and i finally saw the extra i. So i said fuck mmo's and any game that you can sell ingame items/currency/accnts.
