God bless Crimsonland. I've been playing that one for a long time now and I love it. If you folks haven't tried it, I'd say at least give it a try. It's some weird Asteroids/Fallout hybrid thing. Seems almost like a Fallout mini-game, which got me pretty happy.

You should get an older version. They don't have that kinda bullshit! When I discovered the game it was kinda underground without the banners and register shit but commerce fucked this baby up! The guy who made it made a mistake buy doing this. He destroyed the one thing that was cool about this game and that was it simplicity. It used to be start soldat.exe select a few bots and GO! but now you have this register bullshit and options that are only for registered users! MAN FUCK this shit! I hope this game dies a silent death!

I don't think you'll find any people playing older versions online. Besides, the extra stuff that paying people get isn't that good. Custom music and intfaces isn't a big plus IMO, so i'm just going to use it unregistered. And about him asking for a little money now, i'd like to see you program a game, and dedicate yourself to it so you can release patches and improve the game while trying to work so you can feed yourself (and your family, if you have one). There is nothing wrong with him ASKING you for some money, he made a game that you can play for FREE, some games they sell in the store are worse then this game. And he doesn't even want that much money for it.

another real time worms-like game. Unfortunately it often isnt compatable with XP, but Win2k and less should be able to run it.

You can d/l a program some guy made that lets you easily mod the weapons in Liero (called Liero Kit). If you like, you can make a bomb that explodes with bananas rather than fire.

I stand corrected. Well, partially that is. You're absolutely right Ray, there is nothing wrong with asking it. But, if you fuck your own game up with stupid things like a register screen and a log in screen that doesn't even allow you to change the user, I think you're not doing the right thing!
