How do I use cheat-code on GTA - Vice City?

Everywhere on the net there has been cheat codes for GTA-VC, but none says how to use them.

They all just says: "Type these codes during the game"
But unlike Rainbow-Six there isn't a function where I can type ANYTHING.

Had I be missing something or is there a typing function I'd overlooked?

You do exactly that, type them during the game. All you do is start typing, you don't need any special window.

I have tried, but as you know many of the characters also serves as function keys, so everytime I hit them it just activates the function. Anyway to get around those?

Doesn't matter, you just keep typing "aspirine" or "nuttertools" or whatever cheat your trying to use.

Sorry, don't work. The figure just move everytime I punch in the key.

That's irrelevant. In GTA 3, the keys would do things when one typed in cheats. Thats the sacrifice you make for cheating. If you have the right cheat code they'll work just by typing them in though.
