Anyone here using Chrome? I switched to chrome about two months ago, since Firefox constantly freeze on me. However, I found Chrome lacking certain features Firefox have and the stability isn't as strong as I have hoped for considering I chose to switch for this very same reason.

What are your experience with Chrome, if you are using it right now?

Chrome is fucking awesome. Been using it since it came out. I've never had stability issues with it. What features are you looking for?

Mostly a search box like the one Firefox has. I downloaded one that looked similar but it screws up a lot.

Sometimes, it could take up to 15 seconds to load the first page, and sometimes Chrome even ask me if I want to stop loading my homepage because it is not responding... even though my homepage was Google.

I've tried Chrome a few times and it seems fine but I always end up going back to Firefox.

You realize the address bar is just a giant search box right?

fucking fuck, was going to post a link but shit sucks. Just type in the address bar 'omnibox'.

Yes and that is exactly the response I get from the Chrome community - just use the all-in-one search box. But sometimes I don't want to search everything with Google. I want to search within Wikipedia, Youtube, and I want a dropdown menu that let me choose which search engine I want to use. Just like Firefox.

Maybe I should just go back to Firefox.

You can use keywords to change the search engine it searches with. To find these go to options, and in the search section click manage. The defaults are 'wikipedia.com <searchterm>', etc. You can change these too, so you would only have to type wiki sharks and it will go to the sharks article on Wikipedia.

I actually set the keyword to w, so I just have to type w something and it goes there. But still, I rather have something that is in a separate field box, rather than having everything in one bar.

I find Chrome to be generally better and seems to be noticeably faster but I wish it blocked ads and popups as well as the AdBlock extension in Firefox. That's about the only thing missing. I don't really use Firefox any more.

Yes, I discovered that the other day when I bothered to look. Amazing the things you will find. No use for Firefox now.

I've always been a firefox fan but i've been exclusively using Chrome for over 3 years now. I always have the latest firefox installed but I find it slower.
