I actually never thought US would ever find this guy, so imagine my surprise. Someone once said that Al Qaeda is like a franchise; the CEO dies, then someone will just take over. But I do believe that, as much as we want to believe that Al Qaeda is a network of people with tight infrastructure, it might really just be a one man show, much like the Third Reich. So, with the death of Bin Laden, this whole thing might come to an end a lot quicker.

And the general public seems to have lost interest. I just don't hear that many people talking about this.

Here is an interesting article, talking about how the Arab world has lost their interest in radical Islam, as well:

Well, I don't want to get into a big argument about this but I think that the people following Osama were following the belief of radical Islam more than him.

I hope the network falls apart and I'm sure Osama was a key figure and inspiration to some of the terrorists. However, it was their religious beliefs that brought them together into Al Qaeda.

As far as radical Islam "falling out of fashion", I'm not convinced. I hope we have a more peaceful and safe world now but let's NOT lull ourselves into complacency.

That's very true. Ever since the time of first written history, there is religious fanaticism. And as long as there is a cause, there will be a network, and there will eventually be a competent leader, which will be a threat to us who holds different beliefs.

Wow, no one cares? This is actually a good sign... it means we were not permanently scarred by terrorism.

And, I haven't forgotten...
