Does the USA smell like sweets?

Every time I buy a game online from the states, or get a cd with a graphics card it has this great sweet smell. Now originally I thought that it was just the smell of the ink used to mark the cd's, but I have recieved a lot of cd's and dvd's from the UK and they all smell like ass. I have been to the UK, and I can confirm, it does smell like ass ( They seem to love diesel cars and I think thats the reason ). I wish I could find out the name of this sweet smelling substance, I'd spray it on my food if I could...

heh, interesting question. Hawaii smells like sweets for sure, North Carolina smells like forests and the ocean for the most part, and New York City smells like sweat, stale piss, and gasoline engine exhaust fumes all mixed up. I can't vouch for the rest of the country.

El Paso smells like old taco grease, roadkill, hot burning pavement, the homeless people, and to top it off we sometimes get this fog shit from across the border, it smells of any combination of asstastic things you could imagine.

I don't really think its where it comes from quite so much is that somewhere in the manufacturing process of stuff it picks up a realy nice smell.

Ok, so the most logical conclusion is that all CD's that come from America are made in Hawaii, or are held in Hawaii before release and if I want to live in a place that smells like sweets I should move to Hawaii not El Paso or N.Y. :) That strawberry lotion sounds like a good idea too :p
