I only played the beta for Xbox. They gave us a map with no vehicles, and the amount of bugs was ridiculous. I fell through the map so many times. I think it would be a good game as long as they fix the bugs and reduce the lag somehow.

Yeah, I've been playing some of it in between other things since it was released. Battlelog seems like it could be neat once they fix a few things, but it'll always be a little awkward loading a retail title through a browser. I'm also not entirely comfortable with having FireFox sitting open in the background eating up ~350MB of memory while I play the game. Seems to me like they should have developed their own Webkit-based Battlefield Browser that only has what is needed to operate Battlelog to minimize its resource footprint.
The squad system is fucking broken in the beta, but they've said they plan on fixing it in the retail release. As it is now you have no choice over what squad you want to be in, and once you're in a squad you can't pick who the squad leader is. You would think that forming a party in Battlelog would have it automatically put you into the same squad as the rest of your party but it doesn't; half the time it won't even put you on the same team.
I also tried the 360 version of the beta. Maybe it looks better on a TV when you're sitting 6-8 feet away but on my 1080p monitor it looks like concentrated asshole (more so than other 360 games). Aside from the overall lower detail it's also just hard to see shit in the distance because it's so fucking jaggy and blurry.
Here's some screenshots I took a couple of days ago:

Indeed the squad and party function is broken, but I like the potential of it. And I like that you actually have use for all the classes.
I have no problem with chrome running in the background, it will probably just be moved to the virtual memory anyway and you'll always have the option to invite friends and stuff..
