Just saw this in your Bloodmoon preview:
Xbox gamers should be glad to know that Bethesda Softworks plan to launch Morrowind GOTY, a version that's going to feature the content from both Tribunal and Bloodmoon add-ons - this will no doubt be a field day for hardcore Morrowind fans. Be on the look out for more announcements soon.
Can you AT guys find out if Bethesda will fix the memory overflow bug that ruined an otherwise great game? Muchos gracias.

I'm really hoping so. I built up a kick-ass sorcerer/swordsman, but the last third of the game just sucked b/c of that error. I couldn't go anywhere near Ebonheart, the Temple, or the Plantations without the game crashing litterally every two minutes. I got so pissed off that I sliced my Morrowind DVD up with a pair of scissors. But if they've fixed the that bug, I might consider buying the expanded game again. I really enjoyed it otherwise.

That's weird. I made my swordsman on the Xbox version of Morrowind nearly a God, and never had any problem with crashes or memory overflow errors. I didn't follow the story though, I just explored the map until I got bored with it. Are you sure it wasn't a faulty Xbox?
I'm now plugging away at the PC version, this time following the story in hopes to make my way to Bloodmoon. I've decided to choose the path of the archer. :)

Strange that you've had no problems with it. I always assumed it was due to my character having too many constant effect items that took up too much memory space, but if your character has lots of ce items too, then maybe the problem is story-related. I'm pretty sure my Xbox isn't faulty as I've had no other problems with it, but it is one of the original 1000 sold on launch night. Maybe they made some slight changes to latter versions or something. I do have it fully updated via Xbox Live.
Regardless, if you check out Bethesda's official Morrowind forum, you'll see it's full of complaints about this bug. Bethesda folks acknowledged it exists and tried to provide a work-around for it - save all your game saves to a memory card, delete them from your hdd, and some other stuff I don't remember at the moment. So I'm fairly sure it's an issue with the game. Try completing the main mission and see if it happens to you.
Anyway, this expansion game is a golden opportunity for them to fix this problem. I dearly hope they do; in fact I can't imagine them not doing so. This is one game I would like to have in my small but selective Xbox library, but without that bug.

oh its not just because you finished it my one was freezing before i clocked it, mybe it was because of my charcters speed.
I dont think the scenery had enough time to load speed 88 natural no magic items };]
