How do I enable DMA in XP for my dvd drive. W98 was easy to find but now I can't find it. Is it in the BIOS? I have an NF7-S If that helps. also in my device manager, it has an exclaimation next to the Motherboard resources. It also has two other Motherboard resources that are normal. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

[edit]Oh, and does anyone know what the two extra jumpers on the NF7-S board are for? It doesn't tell me in the book. One is near the serial ports and the other is near the power plug in. Grassy-Ass!

Those two things requiring special attention are probebly just for extra ram, Or somthing.

Well, If you have Xp windows probebly isn't there, Unless try a search for, "Win.com" and it might give you a choice for Windows98, I don't quite no what your aiming at but I have Win98 With a DVD drive, Maybe look at options in the file (not in bios) but in "mycomputer" under "control panel" & then system/Device manager, Look for the file that is the one with the DVD on it, I just don't understand DOS, so maybe that would be easyer to understand.

Or maybe for me it would be easyer if I knew what DMA stood for, OH I JUST FOUND IT, gO INTO CONTROL PANEL SYSTEM/DEVICES FIND YOUR DVD DRIVE AND THEN GO TO SETTINGS AND CLICK THE BOX NEXT TO "DMA"!

hmmm. I've searched and can't find anything in the device manager for DMA. When I had 98 that command you found was always there but in XP it isn't. I've tried enabling BUS Mastering in my bios but that didn't change anything. If you can think of anything else that would be great. Has anyone else ever had this problem?:(
