WC3...hardest game!?!?!

Wow...

I'm a big fan of starcraft and thought I'd try out WC3. Well actually my friend wants me to team up with him in the game. So I was playing SP on custom game...wow it's hard!!!!!

I've played about 8-10 games...lost them all. I don;t understand because in starcraft I own! Does anyone have any good strats that I could try out. I really dont care which race.

Everyone owns in Starcraft, because Starcraft is easy! Warcraft III... emmm.... never tried it, but I would like to try it when they start to sell it with its expansion pack with it, like a bundle.

starcraft isn't easy against other players. anyway, WC3 has much more micro (i hate micro....). sometimes u gotta focus onto an individual unit.

that's so weird.....i don't know of ANY internet cafes in SF (i might try lookin some time). it seems like there's one on every street corner in the rest of the world (especially china?).

so how bout them strategies! LOL!!!

simple strategy.. make some military units before attempting to collect resources.. get them parallel and manage them so that ur resources are going up and ur military is also being prepared.. question but how do i do that?

simple.. put atleast 3 peons/pawns whatever on each resource lumber and gold.. and till then build a barracks or whichever thing is available for each race.. once u have 5 standing units.. get them to build house.. get all 6 of them or 3 of them so that they build faster.. once house is built.. get them on work again.. then repeat until u have atleast 11 or 12 units standing.. once u are there u can move onto creating more peons etc.. and building houses.. remember forget upgrades as they take so much time that the enemy will eat u while u are upgrading.. defenses are a waste of time none of them really helps as the enemy would send units that can destroy defenses from a distance..

always keep ur archers in one group and melees in another.. if they are in the same group they will die like ants.. also make sure each type is grouped separately like group ctrl 1 is my melee fighters, group ctrl 2 is my archers, group control 3 is my raiders if any or heavy units and group control 4 are my seige units.. always works.. keep raiders if faster ahead.. if u have slow heavy units keep them with seige units.. i hope this helps u.. once u have ur defense units (the 11 or 12 that i talked about) setup then u can easily go on for upgrades and more resources and such.. also explore the map as usually the gold mines and such run out quickly..

if nothing works u can cheat for more resources but that wont be a good idea coz u are practicing for multiplayer!

if all else fails use the cheat 'whosyourdaddy' muhahahaha

Well I've noticed with Blizzard games is the more you play and keep playing the better you are going to be, I used to play WC3 non stop and was really good, but when I stopped and then got back again I sucked pretty bad, even though I knew most of the stuff but still kinda sucked, it's not the case with games like Quake2-3 and most of other games.

I know thats how I was with starcraft. Stopped for the school year, continued then sucked. Starting to get my school back. any way thanks WGARA. 1 Quick question. Is it possible to put it in laymens terms and possibly use a race and give examples for the units. I'm new to this game (only played about 8-10 matches) so I dont know what seige units are. I didnt even know archers and melee are different!

In starcraft it's fucked up that if you play alone with 3 AI enemies.....they ALL come after you....meaning 3 marine/zergling/zealot rushes......it's just impossible to cope with that! That's what really spoiled the game for me! BAH!

The suckiest thing about WC3 is that so much depends on your ping. In tight matches, the decider is always the time between when u issue a command and when its actually done. But I still I like it more than StarCraft cuz 1) it isn't 6 years old and 2) there's a lot more action 3) dumb people always loose 4) there are lots of dumb people on b.net.

yes, thank you Mor3, yeh i play it all the as undead, this tatic is good for defence realy but it doesnt work in the expansion[ because the creators are little bitches...but you gotta love there work].

ok build two grave yards because these generate corpses, know make sure your necromansers are fuly upgraded. Now place your Necromancer around the two graveyards its good to have 9 of them. Once you have that in place any time you attacked double click on the necromancers and press animate corpse and presto! instantly 18 skeleton warriors, but there only good for a short time because there summoned little bitches.

But like i said the corpses rebuild and so when they run out, they make make some more[ oh and please note you cant have more than 36 skeletons at a time if you try the first ot just fall to pieces].

Oh! and abominations are a good bet lots and lots of abominations [hhmmm those disgusting freaks are always good in large numbers.
Oh and has any one made a mod so you can have a larger population?. Haveing only 100 sucks ass compared to starcrafts 200 troops, [plus the dark archaons ability to take over troops allowing a total of 300 troops[ theres a free hint for starcraft...but you probable know it already.]]
