Ok i'm all about having my system as quiet as possible, at the moment I have the 400watt power supply that came with my Antec case in but between the powersupply and my graphics card I can hear noise that I don't agree with, to the average person sure it's not a big deal but I value my silence.. so far i've got the power supply picked and it's the Antec TRUE 430W, the two deciding factors are it's stable voltages across the board and Antec's line is the quietest ones around from what I see in reviews.

Now about the graphics card i'm thinking maybe the G4 4200 because it's seems to be a well balanced card, as far as they go i'm looking for something that's not to loud with great performance, i'm not all about having 100+ fps and such in games I just want some decent that will do the job.. i've notice that even with 5 case fans my graphics card is the loudest thing in my pc and it's damn annoying.. a bud of mine just got a Nvidia FX board from Pny and it's so damn quiet you don't even hear it, maybe that'll be my choice if no good suggestions arise, either that or watercooling for the cpu and gpu.

Any suggestions on a quiet graphics card?

get a raddy 9700 pro and slap a Zalman ZM80A-HP onto it.. but only if ur ambient temps are around 30 C then it will rock!.. also the fan on a raddy 9700 pro is quiet as is and that zalman is a fanless mod so u cant probably get quieter than this.. plus its helluva cheap these days.. if u get the 9700 non pro then it should be around 200 bucks plus 30 bucks for Zalman.. if u want a 9700 pro then it should be 240-250 bucks plus 30 for zalman!

If you're going to get a GeForce 4, you might as well grab a 4600. But if you're going to get a 4200, then be sure and get one with 128MB. You're gonna want that extra power in the near future, assuming you're into FPS's. :)

Exactly I just want something that can handle HL2 when it's released.

Hey WGARA I was looking at some reviews for the Zalman heatsink and that's the best way to go for me.. hehe saves me 200 for a new card also, thanks guys total silence at last.
