Recording from games...

I'm looking for a program that lets me record around 5-10 seconds of filming in a game. I want to come up with a new avatar gif image, and I want to make the avatar a few seconds of moving frames from a game.

Can anyone help please???

You could type screen capture in google but it seems like alot of trouble to go to...

But the thing is, I don't just want to capture a screenshot in a game. To do that all you have to press is Print Screen.
I want to capture around 5 seconds of gameplay, so that I can convert it into a GIF file, and use it as a Avatar.

Fraps lets you record video, but you'll need a lot of HD space. I recorded a 1 Minute movie once and it was about 500Megs... O_o

Oh... and I d/loaded it, amd I don't know how to use it....
How do you use it?

It keeps saying:

"Exiting Fraps will stop the counter being shown in your games. Are you shure you want to unload fraps?"

How do I stop this from coming up?
