I had a dream last night.

I was playing Jumanji, you know, the shit game that everything comes true. The text floated up from th mirror at the center of the board:

Those who are girls do not like video games...

Those who like video games are not liked by the girls...

Those who are girls, against the previous rules, sucks...

I woke up in the sweat and all the shit...nah I actually just sat up and thought..."this is so untrue! But why most people think that way?"

Well just because a girl games does not make her suck or unpopular. I have this girl that I want to make my gf but right now we are really good friends, well anyway she is VERY hot, VERY nice, VERY popular, and she still plays computer games. Not the Britney Dance beat crap. Like Battlefield and MOH, and Ghost Recon that sortof thing, And she is better than me at them! So not all gaming girls suck. And she swims too that where I know her from swimming. She is awesome.

I am a girl, (a woman, actually), I play PC games, and I'm pretty damn good at 'em. You guys are hangin' out with the wrong ladies.

I also make my own UT and CS maps for our LAN (which I installed), and I build my own PC's, too. Now, none of that's a big deal, but don't think there aren't any women who game, for chrissakes!

Alot of girls in my area play Consoles. But not many are Computer Girlies. The girl i like now (see Girls) plays Silent Hill but doesnt know how to move. I dont know if its consoles or PC. I dont know, but she talked about a game and was like "a daaaaaa, your prutttyyy"

Seriously, though, there are very few girl gamers, especially PC... one of the reason might be the violence we have in today's game. All the blood and dead bodies and guns... boys might think it is fun, but girls probably, most of them, think not...

Speaking of violence, Postal 2 is gonna be hot!

Its got nothing to do with the content. I think its more of a stigma thing; that girls who touch computers are geeks and therfore shouldn't be talked to. I guess those with enough confidence are the only ones who play.......

Emmmm.... it sounds like an even bigger reason why girls keep games away. Most of the girls I know really care about how guys think of them, and playing games probably do make them look UNIQUE... geek if you prefer...

Well, i wouldent say most girls hate violence. Because i hear some girls talking about console games such at GTA, Vice City, Halo, and sports games. I think that everyone has a computer. It depends on what you do on that computer than makes you a "Nerd". I know alot of girls who just use it for music and aim. I know very very little who use it for games.

Some girls I know have great potential to be great gamers. There is this girl (the one that broke my heart... her nam eon my webpage) showed no any interest in my games, but when I said how many cops I had killed in GTA3, her eyes lighted up: "Wow, you can kill cops in that game...?" Obviously she hated cops for a while and this game is just for her!

Well, maybe I should just forget her... I did something that made me very sad today. I...I blocked her I my buddylist. She never talked to me anyway, so no harm at all. But I deleted her from it, too, which means I so noe want to know anything about her snce now on... don't want to see her face... I'm such a coward, ain't I? (sigh). But there isn't any reason for me to be brave... no anymore...

That "girlswithgame" site looks pretty pathetic. Usual stereotypical depiction of girl gamers. Not to mention, it's that whole console thing, too. It's like an Apple Mac. Even I refer to them as a girl's computer! All those those babes don't know what it's like to have to sweat the small stuff. I'd rather hang out in the world of device drivers, IRQ's, and hex port addresses, and with you guys. Banzai!

I agree and disagree with many of you guys. My girlfriend likes games, but the games she is interested in are not the kind of games i like. There are very few girls that like the games that we guys like, ie: 1942, Ut2003, CS, etc. Most girls that i know that play games are into slower paced ones. My gf for instance really likes adventure games. We will spend some evenings playing games like Syberia or The Longest Journey together, instead of watching TV or getting a movie (I can say that it is more interesting most of the time). I also know another girl who will only play the sims. She loves that stupid game and she has all the expansions. Again this is a slow paced game, less violence, etc.

I think that most girls just have different interests than us men (or boys) have. I think that the gaming industry is targetted at the male species and never really caught on with the girls.
