Hello digital artists,
I am beginning work on a project based on my STX001 Engine (http://www.sheepsheet.com/_sheepysheet/stx001/stx001.htm). I am now recruiting sprite artists. Successful applicants will be producing art for tanks, helicopters, mechs, robots, soldiers, babes, high tech weapons, aliens and a few other weird stuff. Please send your applications, including any samples (keep it small; below 100KB) to avatarr@sheepsheet.com.

Sprites wow that’s a tough one. I’ve never been good with sprite art...but If you would like some background themes for game levels I can always cook something up.

I don’t mind at all. Here is my email:

Just mail me when you will have some work for me.
On the other note can you reveal any information about the project? What’s the game all about?

yay, another member. :D you and radiator get automatic entry to the team cuz you were the very first ones. :p but yes, basically sprites are the 2d pictures used for the 2d chars in games. (I think they might even extend to the 2.5'd one's ala doom, doom2)

I copied part of the e-mail I sent to Rohan from the e-mail I sent to you Rad. :D I'll see if I can set up a private forum of some kind so team communications are a little more transparent. Keep coming in recruits, the door is still wide open!

Uhm question, when making a sprite, does it always have to look like an image sequence? what color depth? is there a limit to it?

Unless the object your developing is supposed to move or perform any actions than no it do not have to be a sequence. I don’t think we should make any colour limitations here unless AVataRR have any other opinions of course.

uh, color depth? I think we'll be fine at 32-bit colour. actually I'm not really sure what "colour depth" means anymore; WindowsXP calls it colour quality. oh whell, I hope I'm right. anyway, Radiator, Rohan, if it's not too much trouble, could you guys register on this forum (http://sheepsheet.proboards21.com/index.cgi)? tell me what you registered as, so I can give you access to the "conference room". it's invisible to the general public :)
thanks for the heartened contribution Cream, I'll find somewhere to put it.

thanks Rad, you are now an ultra sheep. :)
Cream, this game of mine may have mouse based aiming, but it is definatley not HL, much less an AvP variation (then again, maybe it is). my point is, "I'll find somwhere to put it". :p
