I used to be a PC gamer, but bought PS2 and Xbox cuz I was tired of spending so much $ on upgrading. But I recently upgraded anyway. It's a disease, I tell you.

heh, actually I couldn't get SAS to run on my old as shlt PC and needed to upgrade for that reason. I still have my old GF GTS 32MB vid card.

I actually consider my computer mid-level but it's more like a 386SX(Why do I keep bringing this up) in today's market. When I read that a P4 1.6 GHZ and so on is low-end I just can't help but feel really small... see...

I have a P3 733mhz w/ 312mb of ram and a GeForce2 MX-400 32mb. It still manages to play some of the latest games (Freelancer really good. Yay!) pretty well.

Buying new PC hardware is expensive, but it's also exciting and you cant have any warez/porn/mp3 or do anything @ all besides games... meh

Coo. That's exactly what I upgraded from, except the GF2 GTS vid card.

But I must say, I frikkin love my Nforce 2 + 1800 Athlon XP. W00t W00t! If you get the chance to upgrade, you'll really appreciate the performance difference from your old system.

Speaking of which... Let me tell you how stupid some people can get if they don't play games at all. In this case it is my sister. Once she saw me play GTA3 on PC and wanted to try it. She can't even use the mouse straight. Then she started to bitch:

"Everyone out ther has a joystick or a controller or something, only you use mouse and keyboard. Mouse is for the curser and keyboard is for typing, moron! Go get yourself some REAL hardware and stop being pathetic, using a mouse and a keyboard! I can't believe my brother always settle for less..."

It was very obvious that who the real idiot was.

So, I recommend those who are too weak to operate a screw driver or too stupid to read some hardware maneuls: stick to the consoles, cause that's all you deserve! True, it is kinda hard to keep PC to run smoothly at the first time you build it, but it is easy as soon as you put effort in it!

Hey I come to this site like nearly everyday... I just cant be bothered posting - see 3 posts I think. But anyway, I got a p4 1.6Ghz, Gforce 2 64mb, 128mb RAM, awesome when I upgraded but still good enough to run basically any game. Yet still I always end up getting bored of them all quickly and turn back to my xbox for gaming, I just find them so much more fun, even if the graphics arnt quite as good, they're pretty awsome anyway, and when your sitting on a comfy couch with a big wide screen tv, surround sound and playing against at least 3 other friends it beats sitting here on my own on this uncomfortable chair playing against people I don't even know. My pcs used for movies, work, downloads etc... sometimes games but consoles will always be cool no matter what you say, and they aren't just for kids :( I wont believe you:( :( :(

Well, one argument you can make for console gaming is that it's diffenently way more social. You can play 4 player games on the same machine for a gazillion titles. I typically wind up playing that with girlfriends as opposed to PC games, although I would love to get a girlfriend that'll be my wingman in BF1942 and let me be her tank gunner while at the same time still being smart, funny, sexy, and highly sexually appelling. Where is such a girl? No one knows.
