Best Game Story

In your opinion, Wich game did you think has the best/coolest/maddest story backing it up? [oh this is for PC also i just dont own one so im putting it i here]

So far my favourite has been the "Legacy Of Kain Seiries"
im just interested in what people in here like?

The Final Fantasy series had some good stories. Starcraft's story was pretty good as well. Hmmmmm, WC3 as well :)

Zelda series has always been pretty good.

Golden Sun had possibly the worst storytelling ever, the longest, most drawn out conversations, but it was a really, really fun game to play, as long as no one is talking.

Besides i was just asking, no need to cry about it. It was a simple question asking what aspects you liked the most about the story.

Was it the twists to the plot or just the characters involved, and there reactions to what was happening around them?

For some reason after I played the game I just loved it. I loved the actual story, and how it was all based around one thing: Metal Gear Rex. Hideo Kojima did a very good job with the story line. The story does keep twisting all the time. The characters were mad in it. Every character was detailed and explained. I liked it also because of how the whole story is army based (in a way). Even the gameplay fits in to the story for me. I don't think that I would have liked the story as much if it was a FPS (for example).

I think that there should have been a movie made to this game.

The story on Final Fantasy 7 for me was the greatest thing, i just loved all the characters and the world they lived in, also FF 10 was cool story, 8 and 9's story wasnt really that interesting.... also all Zelda games have great little storys.... ummm and if any of you guys ever heard of Divine Divinity i loved that world and story same with Diablo series WarCraft series and StarCraft!

Asherons Call has a really in-depth story line if you pay attention to it... its great

The most under rated game of all time. Skies of Arcadia!! The story in this game was simple, but the way it was executed was excellent and made it seem like it had never been told before.


The most original would have to be Starcraft and its expansion pack: Brood War.

i find that a good story, is one that you think you know whats happening, Then something new comes in and you know youv had the story all wrong.

So many have tried this and failed, Legacy of kain has done pretty well doing this and thats another reason why i like there story.

That and the characters reations to each other can be entertaing at times too

I thought Final Fantasy Tactics had a good story. And Skies of Arcadia.. from what I remember of it. It's been awhile since I've even seen a Dreamcast.

Another one I remember having a good story was Final Fantasy 7. I'm sure it's been out done by now, but it was just so damn cool back when it first came out for PlayStation.
