The NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun made it quite clear that the graphics industry would no longer be the primary focus point of the company.

Looks like their trying to avoid anymore humiliation from ATI in the GPU world. I actually congatulate them on this move, I think nVidia can do extremely well in the other facets of the tech world. I really like the overclocking utility they were showing in the article. looks like even the most n00b of gamers will now be able to overclock without any problems. nVidia looks like their setting themselves up to become a major force in the overall tech world now.

i have to LOL at this comment.. FUCK LOL and FUCK nVidia.. what a bunch of losers.. I mean they were the gold.. they should remain that way.. not primary focus.. wtf?

Yeah, well I've got a hot piece of news for Mr. Jen-Hsun:
It seems the graphics industry hasn't been the primary focus point of Nvidia for about a year or so, now. I guess nobody there had the courage to tell him. He hardly had to make an announcement about it.
I wonder if their stock tanked after this hit the airwaves?

actually nVidia's stocks have not grown as much as before.. except during the 5900 fx ultra EARLY days.. after that it has been a roller coaster ride.. only down ways!

This is rediculouse, they dont make anything else except motherboards that could lead them into "more cash" then gpu's did and it looks like Nforce3 is getting a beating from Via KT800

Nothing much has changed in light of the announcement yesterday peratining to stocks today. As of 2:15 EST nVidia stock (symbol: NVDA) was up 0.28%. ATI's stock (symbol: ATYT) was down 2.48%. I thought ATI's stock would have gone up seeing as how they've beat nVidia in the GPU world, the sheating on the driver benches, the HL2 bench debacle, and the better cards all around. Strange.

Nvidia's last earnings report were substantially higher than predicted. ATI's missed the mark. (many) Reasons like this make it "not so strange".
edit: although, the outlook for ATI is higher than nvidia, so knock yourself out if you've got a few grand u wanna invest :)
