if so, post your temps.

scratch that; everyone please post your cpu type, hsf, and temps.. i'll go first:

2500+ barton
stock hsf

board: 34C
cpu:44C
power/aux: 30C

CPU= 1400mhz, (1.4 Gighertz)

Hard Drive=20 gig. I don't know the speed, I didn't buy the hard drive.

Fan=some type of thing...

extras=liteonit 40 speed DVD drive. 40 speed, CD burner, And a little A:\ drive.

Uhm... I would need to check the BIOS for the rest of it.

Why would you need to check the BIOS? I know all the stuff in my computer. But then again, i'm a freak.

what motherboard model are you using?

also, the 2500+ barton has proven to be a decent overclocker for me, i'm running at 2700+ speeds stable, but have cranked it up to 3200+ without problems.. til i install the new heatsink and fan i'm keeping it to a minimum.

i have the nf7-m mobo

try raising the multiplier a bit before messing with the fsb, then when you're confident enough, up the fsb in 1 mhz increments, i believe the stock on the nf7 is 166.

also, i would leave the voltages on auto.

my steppings are as follows:
fsb @ 180mhz
multi.x'er @ 12

2500+ 1.830 @ 2700+ 2.160

since your cpu is a barton core, the specs should be similar

I probably know SOMETHING about it, Im just not framiliar with the term. Wasnt' it something like setting the bios clock, Or resetting the mobo? Or reformatting the hard drive?

[edit]Oh, it is something to do with the mo-bo... What did you want to do? Set it up???
