Bugdon Joystick/Gamepad

I recently bought the game "Bugdom" (PC version) from Compusa, for my daughter. It came without a manual and it says it supports Joysticks and Gamepads. Does anyone know how to set this up. It doesn't appear in the "settings" area of the game.
