I've gotta bitch about my parents. They love me yet they have funny ways of showing it. They haven't read a single thing I've ever written since a year ago and they hated that. My father thinks that I basically can do whatever I need to do for AT whenever and that it's not really an actual job. My mother couldn't name the site I work for. My parents don't think I actually do anything productive with the computer, it's just a big toy and I'm wasting my life on it instead of doing something else.

In contrast, my sisters have dance (Ballet, tap, jazz, you name it). My parents never complain about driving them to it, constantly, and the huge amounts of money it costs and have never missed a recital.

Some say life is unfair, I know and I'm about to not care.

OMG ! So agree smap. My dad just bitches at me. I try and talk but its like he says what im supposed to say, or he speaks for me. PARENTS ARE FUCKING DEMONS OF HELL !

my mom used to complain about my report card every time i had it...
and then i said"Well you go take the class and see who has the better mark" the fact that she didn't finish her 9th grade made me be right
not once did she complain after that

thats a bit unfair of you corpse boy. maybe she just wanted you to do better than her? but yes, sometimes they can get annoying ... I tried a similar line when I failed a mathematics course. :p she specialised in micro-biology herself, so u'd expect their maths to be more on the basic side... :p

my parents blow too, i dont really feel like talking about it cause im pretty pissed at them right now but all i can say is they are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overprotective.

Sucks how lots of people aged 40+ [unless they are programmers or what] don't appreciate computers for how good they actually are, and yell at you for using the copmuter for, say, 3 hours, but if you were to ... um ... do homework all day they wouldn't bitch at you. All that 'balance your life' is another way of saying 'i don't get computers and i don't intend to have you get them'.
