SoF 2 Console problem

Have tried to activate the cheats by following the instructions on this excellant website. I have got as far as actually getting godmode on but can't get rid of the console and return to the game. I have bind toggled console using the letter "x" but pressing "x" again will not get rid of it. Any suggestions welcomed.

just press Esc, it should close it.

dude instead of binding the console with "X" all u have to do in sof2 in order to display the console is press the shift key + the ` key ( the key on the left of 1)...
do the same to close it........
it will work 4 sure
