Sweet!! The day has finally come and I have Max Payne 2 sitting in front of me!! Had to drive to like 4 different places to get it. First went to Best Buy, didn't have it, went to Comp USA, didn't have it, went to EB world, hadn't come in yet, went to another Best Buy, finally had it. Some may ask, why didn't you call? Well... these places were more or less on the way to wherever I was going anyway. Now I'm going to open the box carefully and start playing. I'm so excited, I can hardly cut through the plastic wrap.

this is the first game I have ever bought in my entire life! Why did I choose to buy it? Cuz' finally I believe a company deserves the ridiculously pricey $50 for a game.

Started playing. Game's already pretty challenging and have seen tons of action in the first few minutes. All I can say is, it feels like I got Max Payne 1 for the 1st time again, but better. Now I can look forward to weeks of action packed fun.

MP2 will last a day damn.. and does not ship with mod tools as yet.. damn again.. the dude said he finished it in one day.. i believe him coz he posted shots from various fucking levels.. if this games lasts only like 8 or 10 hrs.. i am committing suicide..

i mean the last game I played w/ actual hours of play greater than 15 was Tron 2.0.. max payne 2 hooked me for around 14 hrs for single player but the mods kept me in for about another 20 more.. reaaaaaaaaaally wish we have mods for this game..

The game is ****ING AWESOME THOUGH.

It runs perfectly smooth, didn't have one hiccup on my Barton rig @ 1024 w/2x AA and 8x AF.

If I like the game I always buy it as soon as I get the money. On the subject of Max Payne 2, I don't think I like the idea spending $50 on a game without much replay value and a short single player mode.

Well, instead of only thinking about how much the game will entertain you, or fit your specific needs, think about how much time and work the developers put into the game!! In my opinion, the game is not short, it is challenging at a harder difficulty level, and there is replay value cuz' you can always try to be perfect at it. It's people like us (me included sometimes) that make it harder for good titles to come out on pc.

If you don't wanna pay for it, than you don't get to have it! simple. Unless you want to admit that you are unfair, unjust, greedy thieves.

I can't afford spending money, something I don't have a lot of, on a shitty game. I don't care how hard they worked on it, they should of made it better. They can suck it for all I care. If I think the game is good enough for me to spend my money on (money I could use for food and clothes) I will buy it. If you don't like the way I do things you can suck it too.

if my memory serves me right then there isnt any difficult settings in the game, it automatically chances the difficult as u play through the game ;)

i downloaded the game and i have to say im very dissapointed, its so much like the first one with just a bit of visual boost and you can interact with more objects,.... the gameplay gets very boring towards the end, and its a very short game, it has some fun parts tho, the fire unlike in the first Max Payne is shit, it looks so horrible very bad explosions and fire effects in this game, it doesnt even seems like a Max Payne 2 when playing it just seems like the old one with some new weapons and better graphics, the story didnt get me either.... rather dull compared to the first if you ask me 6 out of 10 i would give it.

I do want to pay for it, but only if its worth it. Like I said before, I can't risk spending my money on a shitty game and I can't waste my money on a game i'll get bored with after 7 hours of play. If I was rich I would buy every game without even reading a review, but i'm not. The people that should really be ashamed of pirating software are the ones who pirate just because they are cheap bastards.

WTF are you talking about? I'm not playing anything right now, and I always delete games I don't like. I downloaded Homworld 2, thought it was a boring pile of shit so I deleted it and saved myself $50. Its not like I bitch about a game sucking and then keep playing it for free. With a choice between a crappy console port like Halo, and this, a game made specifically for the pc, you can't say that you'd choose Halo. Imagine the pain (no pun intended) they went through to create this. The attention to detail and the effort to make this game flawless. This game runs perfectly with no problems on my mediocre system and it has tight graphics. Also think about the fact that they only announced this game a few months ago, and released it on the their deadline, no bullshit. Considering quality and commitment, I'd say Rockstar deserves the $50. The same can't even be said about Half Life 2.

I was just wondering because I think we'll be seeing it in more and more games in the coming years as the gaming populace gets older and wants more mature games, like MP 2.

Sorry I don't warez or illegally DL games because I can go to the store and pick it up. People overseas in the mid-east I think you guys should get pirate copies because you won't get it any other way unless you sell a small child into slavery for what it would cost to import the game.

When I played it I thought it was good. The graphics are both really good and disappointing at the same time, a few things made me "Ooo" and "Ah" but other things made me cringe (the sky in one of levels I played looked horrible). This one seems to have a better script, but the dialogue still seems kind of cheesy and overdone. I'm going to buy this when the price drops, but not now.

I think halflife2 will be a big breakthru for artificial intellegance, You know knows really tall things in the hl2 videos from E3 that shoot the blue lasers ? each of the legs on those babies has its one set of artificial intelegence on how to walk. i think in the future even fingers will have a set of AI of how they should be positioned for situations, not just fixed animations.

I love this game, I haven't beaten it yet though, I always save as I'm shot dodging straight in front of someones shotgun barrel and when I load my head gets blown off. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but I'm at the part where dipshit is stuck in somthing, that's so fucking hilarious, I laughed through the whole damn level. "Max, max, we're gonna fucking die, oh shit shit shit, we're fucking dead Max, fucking do somthing!" God damn, that was funny.

I LOVE IT! I'm not sure if it would be any good if they changed, I mean it wouldnt be MP anymore, just like with UT2K3, it's not UT.
The shooting scenes are awesome and the AI seems to be smart, ie you kill half of them, they retreat, duck, cover etc, yell for help(scripted probably), textures are crisp, but there's something I dont like about the girls face, Max looks great but the girls face sucks :/ ooook back to the game :D

The hands don't really bother me. The faces piss me off, they have no emotion, no movement. I wish this game had Half-Life 2's facial animation system, the facial expressions on the Half-Life models is so real.
