…and of the ones you’ve played, which ones do you think are the best for online multiplayer gaming? So far I’ve only played three ~ Halo, TRON 2.0, and RTCW. They’re all fun in different ways so I have no complaints. I had a couple of gripes for TRON multiplayer, but they’ve already eliminated just about every problem with the upgrade patches and they’ve got more on the way (if only ALL developers were so quick to fix problems…). To log into gamespy arcade, one would think that Halo is the only online game anyone ever plays… so it would be nice to see people talk about other online games you play.

But do you think that has more to do with the game itself or with the large variety of people online playing those games? I figure it has to do primarily with people's ping times, etc. You mean to say that those other games don't lag?

I want to play BF1942 online too. That's a great game in single player, let alone multiplayer. I got Max Payne 2 on Tuesday and so far it's friggin' incredible. Still, as far as uniqueness and visuals go, nothing compares to TRON 2.0. checka thees out;

... and I got lots more where that came from...

Tron is a great single player experince, but the multiplayer is lacking something. Its still fun for a online session every now and then, but not something I would play a lot like SOF2, UT2K3, or Quake 3.

No, I agree. However, I dunno if you've downloaded the TRON multiplayer patches, but they do fix some of the issues.

As for Tron 2.0 the disc arena can be loads of fun.. I love the disc!
and Tron 2.0 most definitely is an awesome single player game!

I have been limited pretty much to lan games as I have a m0d3m and live in South Africa; which has a telecoms company with a stronger monopoly than microsoft. Multiplater Notepad is my main hobby.
If I did have the net connection to play online games, I would play MMORPGs, I stayed in the UK for 6 months and played DAoC almost 16 hours a day for at least 4 of those months, it was probably the best time I have ever had infront a pc since Quake 1 Rocket Arena.

The only game that I played extensively online was Age of Empires II, Starcraft, Homeworld, and Counter-Strike. But I played Counter-Strike the most. After about 2 years, Counter-Strike was the only thing I was playing online.
However, I have decided to quit playing a while ago (which some of you guys might remember that post I made) after I got shot by a Scout who got me while I'm behind the wall. I know the bullets go through the doors, and sometimes the boxex, in Counter-Strike, but if it goes through the wall it is wall too far.
Back in the days when I startd playing CS there are 3-4 cheaters in every 10 to 50 servers, now there are 3 -4 people in the whole world who don't cheat. CS requires skill for it has no Q3 or UT2K3 rocket launcher, and you need very good aim for the damage zone is very precise. Most CS players today are some retards who practice their skills on downloading the scripts instead of the skills of bhurst-firing and control the recoil.
I realized that if I don't cheat in CS, I will never win, and it's really not fun to start a game knowing there is no chance you are even going to be treated fair. As you guys might have noticed, I just couldn't stop bitchging about these cheaters.
