Ok, I suck ass at Math, and apparantly I have a project due in the morning. It's in regular old Geometry and just has to display my understanding of pretty much any aspect of geometry, and ideas?

I'm in Pre-Cal, which is a year advanced, and I have to say that I really don't like math all too much. It's one of those classes that I just sit in thinking about other things or playing the copy of Snood that I have on my Ti-83. It's pretty lame.

As for languages though, I love Latin. I think that it's pretty bitchin'.

What I don't understand is why schools have to keep math as a compulsory subject. I mean the shit doesn't help u in life ( unless u make a career out of it ), for ppl like me it just makes life difficult.

i used to struggle with maths but now that im retaking them at adult courses im acing them big time. its pretty simple, you just hafta understand the basis of variables, algebra, etc, then its just a question of logic, of everyday situations. now i just look at an algebric equation and i see all the numbers coming into place.

sadly, one of the reasons why i now understand algebra easely is cuz i wasted too much time with the warcraft III trigger editor. that bitch is based on logical variable/constant crap and i didn't even realize it until after some time.

only thing i hate about maths is when they start mixing fractions in the equation and then you have to divide the entire thing by a common denominator only to create more confusion....arg, it becomes a fucking chore. no wonder i never passed math in high school. everytime i saw a fraction in an algebric equation i passed to the next number pretending i didnt even see the previous one lol.

so its just Pi (3.14157....) multiplied by the radius squared, X2

we can get really crazy now too.....the equation I use at least 10 times a day is one used to determine how many slices I can have in a particular degree of rotation, but also making sure that certain point in those pieces of the pie are within a range that will meet building codes. The equation Bob0rz wrote is a base for this one and is only slightly modified. I usually only use a two digit approximation of pi, it's not really necessary to go beyond a hundreth in my field.

Bobz0r, it doesn't really take that much to figure out that there are infinite amount of answers:

1) x+y=2

2) 2x+2y=4

Now, from 2) 2x+2y =4 we can take the 2 out and get 2(x+y) =4

Now cancel out the 2 from both sides we get x+y=2

Thus we get x+y = x+y, and the possibility is infinite.
