What's wrong with people, the war is inevitable, either US or Saddam would've started it anyway, quit fucking protesting, you wont stop anything, that's why there are politics who take care of it all because they see things you dont so stfu.
And yes I'm glad US started it and will finish it probably very quickly, even I'm not american nor do I have any bias towards them I was shocked by 09/11 events and cant believe americans forgot about that so quickly.
Saddam and other muslim extremalists have to be slaughtered.
Totalitarism must be destryed.
Oil should belong to the people who live in that land, not goverment.
Nuclear and chemical weaponry should be eliminated from this planet.
Patcifists suck, they dont do jack shit and they dont undirstand anything nor do they want to. they just want to close their eyes on everything.

I have to agree with ReDeeMer except the politicians part... they work for people so if people protest they are supposed to explain the things we failed to see. If they explained but people still protest then maybe the politicians should stfu.
But this war is inevitable, and although I'm against any kind of war, I agree that this matter is best to be started by US because it might really help when it comes to time and military power.

I agree as well, why protest when the war has already started?? It's not like your going to make any difference anyway. what's done is done and standing around complaining is like yelling at a train that's moving 200 mph to stop, it just will not happen. why people don't realize this, i don't know :( .
Yes saddam and terrorist and extreamists must be killed or taken out of power and sometimes war like this I stupid but what pisses me off is the people portesting again and again.

Well politics are like doctors, sometimes people dont agree, but they still must do the stuff doctor tells them, because doctors know what they do.

Yeah, and if people failed to choose the right doctors, they harm themselves. That's why people should really care more about their country and the peple the elect. Although the war is horrible, and everyone dislike it, but it is the solution our President has chosed for our best interest. We should really respect his decision. Most anti-war protesters turned their focus to Bush instead of the war itself. A big no-no in my eyes.

Having served twice in the Army, during Desert Storm in 91 and then as an instructor for 82nd Airborne (my boys are going after Osama and his buddies as we speak...), I understand that war was an inevitable conclusion.
Sadam has done many things that could be called atrocities.
The simple fact is, he has not attacked the USA, but he HAS repeatedly said on his TV and Radio networks that ALL Americans AND ALL others that are NOT of his faith are nothing but infidel dogs that should be put down for the good of all mankind.
Does this sound like the kind of person that WANTS to follow a diplomatic course?
Nope, he's made it clear to the whole world. Hell, he's been butchering and torturing his own people since his first day as their leader. He is supposedly (in his own words) a "firm believer in the United Nations and it's Global Policies".... Uh... yeah... that would be why he has ignored 17 UN resolutions in the past 12 years.
He has refused to disarm his countries arsenal of Weapons of Mass Destruction, yet IRAQ is the UN Council Director of Disarmament(I may have that title wrong, but it does have to do with disarmament)... That is fucking hilarious if you ask me!
Hell, IRAN is on the UN Council for HUMAN RIGHTS! I find that a laugh too.
Considering these two things, I can understand why the President of the United States decided to go against the UN majority and order war. Come on, I'd laugh at an organization that is supposed to be interested in World Peace, yet allows countries that have committed repeated crimes against their OWN people to sit on the UN Council!
As an American, I can truly say that I am PROUD of our fighting men AND women that put it on the line every day for freedom. Not just my freedom, but the freedom of any poor son-of-a-bitch that wants to break the bonds of tyranny and live free.
I know you all might not agree with the war. You might not like Bush. That's OK with me. Living in free society gives you the right to feel any way you want.
BUT, let's not have this turn into another vietnam. You know, the war where all our boys went to fight a war that nobody wanted and when it was all over, the men who risked everything were the ones that got treated like criminals. Spit on, called baby-killers, shunned. Until 1991. When everybody FINALLY said, oops, we fucked up! They were just following orders... and finally the world said "Thank You". My dad served three tours in Vietnam. He was a Marine (Recon). He came back so fucked up that even though we all loved him, we had to leave him because he had become dangerous. The slightest sound could startle him and when he was startled, he could kill... anyone. I still love him and I go to see him as often as I can and we talk about the m ilitary and the ONLY time I' have ever seen that man shed a tear was after 911... If a man as hard as him with a heart that had been forged by war into steel could feel the tragedy of that day, anyone should be able to.
So I finish with this, Praise our men and women. Praise the British Marines, and everyone else that shouts "Fuck You" in the face of a world that would condemn them for fighting EVIL. No, Sadam didn't attack us. SO FUCKING WHAT. HE is still EVIL and needs to go. We're gonna kill OSAMA too.
BTW: North Korea.... YOUR NEXT. You better find a good place to hide boys, cause when we're done with Osama and Sadam, we're gonna come kick open your door and spoon feed ya your own shit. Then we're gonna take your nukes away till you learn to play nice.
Peace

You all have some valid points, but I disagree with what redeemer said about pacifism. I think that war is a neccessary evil, but I hate war and I think other people should too. Yes Saddam is evil and so on, but it hasn't been proven he has these weapons, and there's no evidence he's trying to get nuclear weapons. Also, many people die in these wars, including American soldiers. Already 4 Americans and 12 Britons have died in this conflict, although it has little to do with the war other than that they were flying someplace and the helicopter broke down. Also, the Iraqi soldiers have families too. Who are we to say they should die? Finally, I think war is neccessary, but only should be used as a last resort. I think the inspections should continue until the inspectors are sure that there are or are not any weapons of mass destruction, and if they find some, then America should go to war. It's a bit late now, though.

To hate something that is inevitable is like trying to break a stone wall with your fists.
I'm all for democracy and social capitalism or whatever we have here in Europe and no no to war, but I just couldnt close my eyes with some bastard like Saddam making plans how to take over the civilized world.

ODM. the inspectors HAVE been trying to find out about weapons in Iraq... for twelve fucking years!
Sadam has REFUSED to cooperate and has made it impossible to verify what weapons he has. That tells anyone with common sense that something must be done.
If he isn't guilty of war crimes and doesn't have weapons of mass destruction, then what the fuck is he hiding??
I don't buy into the bullshit that "there is no proof of weapons"... The "proof" is right there in front of everybody. If he didn't have them, he wouldn't be blocking UN inspectors efforts to KEEP WAR FROM HAPPENING.
Sadam brought this on himself...
I hate war too... I've been there. It's not fun, but it is sometimes necessary.
and it was 8 brits, 4 marines that died on the helicopter.
1 marine has been killed in combat.
You can bet THEY felt that what they were fighting for was worthwhile.
Sadams people are already starting to surrender.
You can bet THEY feel that what they are fighting for was NOT worthwhile and that Sadam needs to go.

I agree with a whole load of shit above.
Firstly, the past is past, we should deal with the present situation and stop clamoring.
Second, we humans are naturally evil. [Derieved from: If you had a cloak, that made you invincible and invisible, what will you do?]
War will forever be with us and giving the fact that we will all have to accept death sooner or later, the same with war.
Life is priceless. But why is it by the end of this war we have an exact count of how many Amecricans and Britonss died but we won't really bother with the Iraqis or the possible civilian casualities?
I can't judge Bush, all I can say there's a lot of pressure on him from Sep 11 and the possibities that Iraq does have nuclear/biological weapons. Saddam is a cock and he will go down. There’s nothing that can justify his actions. And yes, if you have nothing to hide, if you are saying the truth, you should never be ashamed of it or be trying to hide something…unless you are guilty of something else not known.
NiteWing you got a lot of things right there but the US is NOT the world. The world is a fucking huge place and even if we have established things like the UN and brought people together we cannot force our ethics, our beliefs, our values and morals on everyone. The one major reason the US is been so targeted and hated is because of its involvement in so many thorny issues. Its no longer acting as big good brother that should look out for his other brothers, but big brother holding up his other brothers at gunpoint for what he wants. Korea may be in the wrong but the US should seriously think about how they are going to go about cleaning it out.
This war already is going to cost, $70-100 billion dollars. That’s a shit load of paper. They’re still after Osama, and North Korea…this is gonna be crazy.
Basically war is when all diplomacy has been used up. That ultimatum wasn’t very democratic and everyone KNEW Saddam will continue to sit on his fat ass. But yes something had to be done and I’m glad things are finally moving. Lets just hope that some good comes out of this.
