I know you guys need the extra bandwidth or whatever and that every pixel hurts in that department.... but it would really make this forum alot better if the limit was removed. Does anyone else agree?

Not me. A better forum it will becaome but it will not be free then, because of all the extra bandwidth it needs... 800x600 is already freaking big! I personally think it is not necessary to post anything that big here... anyone has different thoughts?

does it matter if the pic is 1280 res but within the 70kb limit...(i know it'll probably suck but is it correct in theory that the bandwidth is affected only by the size of the image in kb and not by pixel dimensions...?)

Bluu has a point... the demension of a pic isn't really that a big deal, but the size. Maybe it is okay then, to get rid of the 800x600 limit, as long as the pic s don't exceed 70k... But big pics won't help, which is what I aid, because most times smal pics do just fine. Look at my Darkened Skye walkthrough, they are all small pics.

no point in ensuing a debate over this...if what i said is correct then the mods can realistically think abt getting rid of the res limit but the overall result won't be too much fun cos i for one dont wanna see a 1280 res pic of a babe in under 70kb!

Then axe that 1 line of pixel and post it... I think? The babes' pics I post are always way too large in their original size, and I shrink them all the time with photoshop...

I just suggested this so maybe I could post some more pics on the site. If we are gettin out of the pic posting thing then nm. I am too lazy to edit the high quallity ones in photoshop thats why I was asking.

I wouldn't know, because I've never used photoshop and had to worry about file size... but to edit anything, it's damn hard...

I noticed that too... Ususally what I would do is to save the file as "save for web", so the file size drops drastically...
Hehehehehe... notice how convenient it is to post a game screenshot? if the game was at 800x600, it fits right into the space (maximum)...:p

My problem is not the limit, but the size... It's good to have a limit, but whenever I save something it's always way too big. I'll try that save for web thing next time...
