Help with Counter Strike!...please check out

well i am not pleased with my internet service as of right now, i guess very recently attbi switched to comcast cable internet in my area and now the net speed test for download actually increased sometimes but very fluctuating sometimes as low as 700!... top is about 2005 kbps... this was taken from msn net speed test... i play alot of counter-strike, my ping or latency can be as low as about 50 and stays around there but no matter what server my choke will be more than 0 (sometimes as high as 60! but heard that 0 is what its supposed to be) (makes my game act weird and lag like very jumpy) and my loss will be at 0 so thats normal... but this is at every server...so please help me out i am in need of assistance thank you very much if you help me...because i guess comcast is my new cable internet provider so please help... i have a new system so specs are great as i know

the lag thing that im talkin about is where i'll be walking and all of a sudden my guy goes back like 10 feet where it was like 1 second ago almost like i had a flashback lol!...well help me please

If it isn't something hardware related on your PC then its an overloaded server. I get 80-300 on 256k DSL and anything under 200ms is pretty decent(playable). What is this choke thing supposed to be at 0 you are talking about?

how the hell do you not get more than a 0 ping... no...u dont get it...my lag is different than normal jumpy lag...its like i'll jump and land then all of a sudden i'll be back where i jumped from ready to do the same move again...its kinda hard to explain...do you get it... cuz anything below a 100 ping is great and perfectly playable...right?

I never got "0" pings in CS.... and I thought anything below 50 is great...

Its impossible to get a 0 ping any any game, unles you are the host or the server is next door. I've played on a T1 connection once and i still only had a 20 Ping.

we were rushing to him shooting but he kinda keep getting stuck in one pose. so we thought he lagged out. but he isnt... as soon as we enters the tunnel we found out he's shooting, but when we turn back he flash back and we had to run to him. so as u see we all spend so much time on the fucker that his team fucked us up. and he managed to kill me before i can snipe him. yeah shit, sniper dun work gainst flashback buggers

Dude I am pretty experience with that kindof thing and pings and all that but I do not know what chokepoint is. But I havent played CS in a long time.

I wish I got under 100ms ping all the time!

why does it sound like a joke, then i realised. it was cos of the 300 ping. now 300 ping can never cause flashback unless in the early versions of mechwarrior4 multiplayer.

now i just had to say that. for
1. he is lagging
2. he fuck me up with that kind of lag
3.he lags so much that my awp couldnt get him at all
4.second 3, there not even a chance even when 19 awp's aiming at him

6.lol i'm gonna get back a modem and go into cs with 400 ping this time

oh god, sounds like that dude has the infamous speed-hack back on a 98 machine, cuz xp wont allow u to mess with the timing of the cpu. It basically speeds up the processes within the game so they are less realistic, and well...allot faster. This is because the cpu can handle much more process than is thrown at it. Unless u got a shitty comp ur shit is gonna lag in fps lol.

The server u were playing on didnt support any anti-cheat rules im guessing cuz he shouldnt be able to use that. Or he was just good at making the server not know. Tell me something, did they kick the guy? or did it just lag you to death?

well if this is about lag...how are you connected to the net (firwallys cause major lag..especially at universities because
they are trying to block file transfers.)

Turn off the sound? How do you hear footsteps with no sound? Sound is a great way to tell where your enemies are...

CS got boring for me...I just dont have the skill, nor the time to get better. Nice game tho!
I'd prefer a good game against hardcore bots in Q3A tho
