If I changed my boot screen, and visual theme in XP will it make it unstable, or is it ok?

it depends where you got the stuff from....there is always the chance of it being unstable but more often than not..at least in my experience it ussualy works fine...im sure someone else here will be able to give you a more technical answer though

I use Style-XP to change themes, wallpaper, and my log-on screen. I've never had any problems with and its very stable. But I can't help you with the boot screen.

I would leave the boot screen the hell alone. I use StyleXP for themse and never get probs except when it puts funny themes on.

As a matter of fact, that is VERY bad for your eyes. It is okay for movie theaters to do that because its screen is big and at a farther distance. But the monitor is a lot more intense on bothing the lighting it emits, and also the framrates... I would put the light source behind the montior if the reflectio is causing the problem, but the sunlight is hard to avoid unless you do some brainstorming... it isn't really that hard, I did it with a shirt, and a CD-holder.

Yes, yes, cr3am's analysis makes more sense.
...and Bluu, yes, Window Blinds is a program, but we were talking about real window blinds there...

yeah sitting real close to a TV can really mess up your eyes, same with sitting infront of a monitor for 5-6 hours (mine begin to hurt)......helps if you have a CRT monitor :D
Try Style XP i love it you need to have more than 256 mb of RAM to keep eveything running perfect, if you don't your comp will lag a little :(
