Finally a liberal thinker who hates Moore. He's hailed as some sort of messiah for the democrats and liberals when he really isn't. I really dislike him and find him grating on my nerves both in how he sounds when he talks and what he calls truth and the real thing that only he can show you because no one else will. Just read a BBc paper for God's sake they tell you everything he does and they tell it fully and in truth, not all hacked up and placed together strategically to make it look worse than it is. The only redeeming thing about his ability as a film maker is that he knows where to edit things and put them together if you could even say he's good at that. Hell I could do half the shit he does with a film editing program I can DL for free from Kazaa and some speeches from Bush and Blair.

Hmm, maybe you might try seeing it before you comment on it. The question was after all have you seen it and what did you think? and not "Michael Moore is a dick and I would not cross the street to piss on him if he was on fire.".

As for editing the footage to make someone look bad, I do not think that is necessary. All he has to do is show the file footage, it is damning enough on its' own.

Yes, I agree about the information being presented by the BBC, the problem is, not many Americans watch BBC news.

Funny thing happened when I went to see it. Let me backup and say, I went and saw "The Passion" when it came out and there where protesters in front of the theater. About 5 of them with signs, handing out stuff and going on about why you should not see the movie. Now here is the funning thing about when I saw Fahrenheit over the weekend. There was a vet in a wheel chair (missing his legs) also handing out fliers and quietly talking about his experiences in Iraq and they ran him off the property. I mean, they called the cops and everything. Is that f*cked-up or what?

Just watched Bowling for Columbine. Finally. I feel like I've been brainwashed. Ugh. This guy is, like Smapdey said, another politician-type person. What I don't like about him is that he just complains and whines but doesn't do anything about it. Half the stuff in the movie isn't even true; the sources have been so mixed up it's insane.

How can you people say his sources are incorrect or false?! He made a contract with the public that anybody who finds anything false or untrue in any of his work they will receive $10,000. On top of that he has a dozen people checking and double checking sources just to make sure that he's right.

Propaganda is something i hate, e.g. propaganda is telling people something so they support their cause, it doesn't matter if what they say is true or a half truth only that the people support you. THIS is fucked because he may have orignal and accurate sources but he uses editing to portray what people say in a certain way.

for example

If you ask me, "does my mum smell like a dirty dirty whore" and i say "thats exacly how she smells"

and you come and edit it and say "My mum smells like roses this is what karny had to say on the matter" then cut to me saying "thats exacly how she smells"

It's twisting my words none of it's un true exactly but it's not true either, it's properganda!

For starters, he didn't open my eyes. None (well most) of the things he talks about that I wasn't aware of. What I like about him is the way he potraits things.
