Whats the best one on the market right now? I just got Black Hawk Down and it runs really crappy with my Geforce2 mx400.

wait until the new ATI and GeForce FX are both out. All of the really good cards will be super cheap then.

I agree with cr3am. I have been telling everyone whoa asked me the same question to wait until the new brands come out, and a price drop is certain.

g2 mx, 32 mb or 16... go to Desktop>Right Click>Properties>Settings>Advanced>[Card Name Here] Tab

WAIT.. for a month and get the 9700 non pro and mod that puppy into a pro.. easy bios flash and u r done..

where's the need to mod? just overclock the 9700, and you've got a 9700 pro.....

not really they might drop 20 or more bucks.. plus not every 9700 non pro is overclockable.. most are overclock locked.. u can either use a bios mod or a software hack such as riva tuner to unlock it.. bios mod is permanent across driver changes.. whereas software hacks have to be updated.. the only ones that are clock unlocked are the sapphire (initial OEMs) that were released and are almost sold out now.. even the new black pcb sapphire atlantis 9700s are not overclock unlocked.. so u have to do a mod and bios flashing is easy.. so there shouldnt be any problems..

btw i am also getting one of those RARE cards with samsung memory (this is used in 9700pros) on a 9700 and i already have the bios for the original pros by ATi so when i get the damn card.. in a week or two i will just flash it and viola 9700 pro for 220 bucks.. now aint that cool?!?!

AHH...no you guys...u cant mod the 9700 into a 9700 pro because there are different features such as pixel shaders and different more advanced things on the pro than the regular version...its not just badda bing badda boom

about the 9700 and 9700 pro comparison.. actually there is no difference in pixel shaders and other tech that is used on the pro.. 9700 pro is an overclocked 9700 or the other way.. 9700 is an underclocked 9700 pro so all u need is a bio flash.. u are wrong about they being different in tech.. the tech difference is between 9500 pro and 9700 series.. in terms of 128-bit ddr memory interface.. other features are the same (more or less).. the thing with 9500 np being modded into 9700 pro is because 9500 s original were made on the 9700 pcb and had similar ram even that is 256-bit mem interface.. now the new 9500 non pros are on the 9500 pro pcb w/ 128-bit interface.. so basically u can mod the new 9500s to atleast 9500 pros..

one last thing is that 9700s coming out now.. have infineon 3.3 ns ram whereas the card i ordered has 2.8ns ram so infineon mem max overclock is around 300-310 whereas the samsung mems max overclock is around 350-355 MHz.. so basically i can simply run the fucking card at pro speeds.. as for the link i have his email and will ask if he has more of them.. the guy only ships within the US so find urslf a friend overthere or better yet start living there.. hehe ok c ya lil pups later.. Tell us your whole system specs. It may not be your vid card, but your mobo+CPU+RAM that needs upgrading.

I just upgraded to an Nforce2+Athlon 1800+DDR, and my PC kicks ass, even with my old GF2 GTS. I haven't played a PC game in at least 2 years, but I broke down last week and bought Jedi Outcast. My rig totally kicks ass on this game now.

What is the problem here? Just go grab a Radeonator any you can overclock any Radeon cards you want! Or am I missing something here...?

Look at it this way...buy the top end card...use it until just before the new one comes out (that way prices are relatively same as when u bought the card) then sell it to a store or somethin, university, someone who will buy it, and then use that money to help pay for the next card that comes out in a week!! that way you're always TOL!!.
