I would say adventure is the most hated one because there are one three good ones in the market since this genre was born: The Longest Journey is good for its time it was released, Syberia was really great, and the third opne is in the future, not out yet.

Erm, what about Monkey Island?, Day of the Tantacle?, Sam&Max?, Grim Fandango?, Leisure suit Larry?, The Dig? or countless others? Even the oldest title on your list is from the time where the Adventure genre was almost gone.:(
Regarding the subject of this poll: "Most Hated Genre", well, I can only say that the genres I dislike, I don't know well enough to actually hate ... because I don't bother playing games that I don't like :p
I know this poll was started because of the review of Galactic Civilizations and it is also clearly evident from the comments next to the choices in this poll that the author (WGARA) does NOT like anything turn based. That's his prerogative of course but there are many good things that can be said for turn based games as well. Sure turn based games are not exactly multiplayer friendly, but they do challenge your brain more than your reflexes, as opposed to many Real Time games where speed and hand-to-eye coordination is much more important than any thoughts of strategy. It is also a lot more difficult for the computer to "cheat" in turn based games since it doesn't have the advantage of being able to control every unit/building/whatever at the same time while you can only control one group of units at a time.
Well, enough about that ;)
If my arm was pinned behind my back and I was forced to choose from the list of the poll, I would have to say a combination of "Sports" games (If I wanted to play soccer I would just grab a ball and go outside :rolleyes: ) and "Racing/Driving" games (high speed transportation of any kind have never really appealed to me :confused: )
What is 3d Games Converted to Old Skool Card Games? Is that poker with weapons on the cards instead numbers? ("Ha, my M60 beats your AK47") or is like "Magic The Gathering"?

*Sigh* I had written a great big rant about MMORPG's but I wasn't allowed to submit it and my entire post got deleted :mad:
I don't want to go through all the hassle of rewritting the whole thing, so I'll make it short:
MMORPG's suck. The so-called "games" are stupid and they are basically nothing but an interactive chat program. May the whole genre suffer a quick and painful death and the remains buried according to the ancient ritual of "Hom Dai" (or however it is actually spelled)

and sorry for the wrong options i meant to say that old skool games that have been converted to 3d card games and shit like that.. for example monopoly in 3d and tycoons etc.. those suck shit.. i wonder if the option i stated is right or not but basically fuck em too

Damn, I put racing instead of sports... Some racing games are fun to play when you're bored, but I don't know a single sports game I like...

adventure games make you run around and solve dumb ass puzzles...I always hated getting the keys in quake2, especially cuz they hide the damn things and there hard and shit to find. Just no point, its like playing hide and seek on computer; which is the same as playing paintball on computer (isnt paintball a simulation of shooting eachother? and being on the computer isnt the game a simulation of the simulation???)
