That's really good, but you can sorta see the second pic through the first... do you know of any way to fix that?

When you highlight there's a checkerboard of pixels that are turned blue, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see through the pic. But if you split the picture half/half (one picture with lots of colours, and one other picture) then you'll see another picture. (right, cr3am?)
