cannot access cheats

Hi i`m trying to get the cheats working in Delta Force Black Hawk Down but when i do the ~ and then cheat it does not work.. i tried the trainer but not sure how this works ..do i need to add something to the exe. file or my shortcut icon of the game.. sure could use some info thanks..:confused:

try starting the trainer before u start the game
then start the game...and do whatever the trainer told u to do
in order to get the desired cheat to work.
