Why do you want to overclock you card...! It shortens your hardware's life..........!

You should be able to increase the memory or core clock manually through the control panel of the driver. It should be in the advanced options in display.

overclock it til it bleeds. get rivatuner (downloadable at www.guru3d.com) and also get the artifact tester. up 10mhz gaps on the memory and test for artifacts in between. when you see artifacts, back off 5mhz and leave it there. then up the core by 20mhz, test, then 10mhz, then test until it freezes. restart, and back it off 5-10mhz less than the speed at which it froze.

that's just a template method. u could always just push it to hell and see what it does. if it's too hot, it just locks up. u need to really abuse it to mess it up.

it'll last two years. things die only if pushed to the extreme. you aren't gettin anywhere near extreme without better cooling.

MAn, they dont die because of O/C, sure they wont last you 20 extra years, but 10-15 years is almost guarantee, so you can easily o/c right out of the box because by that time your hardware wont be worth the material it was made of :D

I had my Geforce 3 Ti200 O/c to Ti500 speeds for a 1,5 years and then sold to some poor sob and he still is playin on it(o/c) :D

I should overclock my card..I got an old radeon7200 vivo. Hows that for oldness? I bet I got the oldest card on the forum lolz. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get some overclocking drivers for the thing?

that artifacts tester is a POS.... i did the hard Core test, it said no artifacts, and the HALF LIFE was fucked up... HALF LIFE!!!

where the fuck is the artifact tester and btw i fried my ASUS card by overclocking for only 1.5 months at 215/215.. dammit who does that.. i mean u cant just fry the damn thing so easily.. i bet i can still run it.. gotta do some analysis..

Well o/c isnt risk free and sometimes you just get faulty hardware....

damn, shoulda posted before you actually used Artifact tester. that program tests for stability (kinda). the real test lies in 3Dmark. you'll see definite IQ differences there. i suggest you run 3Dmark2k1 SE, the dragothic test in order to test for the improvements in your video card. keep in mind that once overclocked to a certain point, performance actually DEGRADES because of heat.

do NOT use 3Dmark03. that's all i'll say about that, as i don't feel like writing my usual 5 paragraph essays :)

you should use the dragothic test in 3Dmark2k1 SE because that will let you know if you've overclocked too much or the drivers don't like half life at high clocks.

Man i used that card for over 1.5 yrs and then i read the damn forums and tried overclocking it.. and it just fucked me over.. if only it had lasted me a while longer i could have gotten a fucking ORIGINAL pro for 220 bucks.. oh well..
