It's all about a device that projects the image onto your retina, essentially with HUGE resolutions that will fill your perifferal. It's pretty new at the moment and only does red, but it has great potential.

I was thinking the same thing. But being an extremely low-power laser, i figure it emits significantly less radiation than your standard CRT monitor.
Maybe a little brighter so you can see in daylight/bright enviromnents, but not so powerful that it damages your eyes. After all, light is bounced off objects and enter your eyes, so its really the same principle.

.... graphics cards the size of a small pickup truck to power it :P

it reminds me of the Nintendo Virtual Boy, man that thing was bad (i actually won that in some draw >.< what a waste). i know the VB doesnt directly displays it on the eye, but that also was only in Red color

highly doubt it. the eye fatigue would get them killed. they do have HUD's tho that "float" in front of their faces (planes and helicopters)

I played Halo 4 player on an imax screen, it was big.

EDIT: thats right, not only did i play halo on an imax screen i've played halo 4 in the future!
