Well, I've finished doom 3 and half-life 2 and I guess I need something else to play until the mods start rolling out for those two engines and before Battle for Middle Earth is out.

I noticed that gogamer has Scrapland and Vampire: Bloodlines up on its 48 hour madness section. Scrapland is 24.90 and Bloodlines is 32.90. These seem like good prices to me.

Anyone got any better ideas for games purchases than these two?

*EDIT*
I just realized that Silence has a similar thread.... oh well, give me your opinions anyway.

Hmm, out the recent ones I can recommend:

Bloodlines (Definitely a must have. Warning! Bugs and glitches included.)

FlatOut (Its just like the old days of carmageddon, redneck style.)

NFS:U2 (Only if you really, really want to...)

I'm also getting Battle out of hell expansion and Battle for middle earth somewhere around next week, so I’ll post more on those than.

Yeah Bloodlines is good, just the bugs can be a little frustrating. Also consider Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault.

Thanks for the responses guys. I ordered Bloodlines since so many of you fools recommended it. Now that POP is out I may have to pick up that one as well. I've loved POP since the very first one came out back when I was a wee lad.

Happy gaming fuckers!

What is Pirates about (gameplay style)? I've heard a lot of great things about it, but still don't know much about it at all.

Pirates!:
The skinny:

You'll be spending most of you time sailing.

- you sail around in a ship owning other ships. Sink them or board them and beat the captain in a duel to capture the ship(if you sink them you won't get jack shit).

There's a sort of "main: quest thing:

-You'll be hunting down some guys in gay suits who stiffed you on your family's cash,
-and save long-lost relatives

Also alot of other shit you can do:
-upgrade you ship to an uber ship-sinking machine
-trade in various ports
-duel with various dickheads
-You'll be able to go treasure hunting
-hunt notorious pirates to gain fame and fortune (their fortune)
-attack settlements (turn-based mini game)
-or sneak into settlements (is a bitch to play, only if you haven't enough men to take the town)
-hitch up with some governor's daughter (FUCK DANCING YOU DAMN BITCHES!!)
-look for a lost city
-do some bounty hunter jobs
-become a pirate and kick everyone's ass
