UBI announced that Chaos Theory will have a map editor and it will be compatible with both Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory.

Yes, there will be a map editor for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, and not only will it be more powerfull, but will also be compatible with Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow maps. It means all the maps that have been created for Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow will be playable on Splinter Cell Chaos Theory versus mode. More information will be made available later. As always, keep checking splintercell.com for the latest news and developments.
It's also been made clear that Chaos Theory will support AA thanks to the switch to DX9.

The presentation at E3 was done with 4xAA enable.
Once the renderer was converted to DX9, it was easy enough to solve the glow occlusion issue we had with DX8.
So don't worry, the game will support AA!
Also, Xbox users recently got a Single Player demo on the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine, so that probably means the PC demo might be out before the end of the month.

I'm gonna see if these SC games are any good. Didn't play the first one unfortunately so I'm gonna try this one. Or is it based on 1 so I'll have to play that one too?

imo they are all good. Chaos Theory is a continuation of the first games story, Pandora Tomorrow was kind of just a cash cow milking side story.

It sucks, I never beat the first one. I got to this part I couldn't beat and didn't have a recent save. If I recall correctly, there were hostages in some barn that refused to stay alive.

Ugh. One of the most frustrating things I've ever had the misfortune of playing through.

It won't get delayed. Too far along in the process. They actually announced in the official forums that the release date "may" be pushed forward a few days. ;)

Oh man I can't wait for this. I may have to get it for the Xbox though because my computer probably can't handle it. One has a GeForce 4200 ti and the other has a FX 5200. lol. Owned. Who knows though, that's what a demo is for.

EGM reviewed the Xbox version of Chaos Theory in their latest issue. They gave it 9.5, 10, and 9.0. It was also the game of the month.

I never really cared for the SC games. I might try this new one just for the hell of it. You never know I might like it.
