O wait I found one. Some idiot called it hitch hiker, dumbass. Just type in hitch with grabit search and voila, Willie Smith's new moron movie and this.

I've almost finished reading the third book in the main trilogy and have found that, so far, Douglas Adams never fails. What an amazing set of books filled with such cosmic ideas and hilarious stunts.

*thumbs up*

It's just too bad they have Mos Def playing the part of Ford Prefect. I mean seriously, Mos Def??!?!?!?!

Bleh.

Actually the main trilogy is the 5 books, as usual with Douglas's style. Anyway the movie is pretty much done anyway, its just in post wrap ups now, effects and such.

I never clarified how many books are in the trilogy. You lose.

u dumbfucks. A trilogy has three parts. Only three parts. like the lord of the rings. HHGTTG = not a trilogy.

Omg, you are so retarded. Go fucking read the books and then come back here and attempt to make the same statement without smacking yourself five times in the sac.

Thanks, buttlover.

Uhm. Dude. It's still considered a trilogy. In fact, one of them is subtitled "the fifth book in the increasingly misnamed 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' trilogy" or something like that.

This being because the books are comedies, and while the answer to life, the universe and everything is fourty-two, the question is what is six times nine - reasoning being that the universe is an inexact place.

And we won't even get into the pan-galactic gargle blasters.

So, yes, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is one in a trilogy of five books.

In fact, there are five books and a short story. In no particuliar order: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Restaurant at the Edge of the Universe, Life, the Universe and Everything, So Long and Thanks for All the Fish, Mostly Harmless and Zaphod Beeblebrox Plays it Safe <The Shortstory>

I've got the books in my ungodly large selection of "books to read" which is currently spanning a couple bookshelves. Sad to say, it's near the end.

I thought the movie trailer was very complimentary of the upcomming film. I'm going to shit my pants on opening night.
